Hey everyone. It has now been confirmed that yes, I did actually blow up my engine on my CBR 400. What actually happened was that the valve droped on the number 1 cylinder and as I rode the bike back home, the munched up remains of the piston and valve was pushed back up into the head. Yukky!!! Yep, she's a mess.
So I need to buy a new motor for the CBR. I don't need any other bits like the carbs or stator or starter motor or anything like that. I just need the bare motor, that's all.
Looking for a cheap deal but I will want to know the history of the motor and the compression readings.
Please let me know on sudeep_giri@hotmail.com or 021 155 9376 or just send me a quick PM.
Thanks in advance!!

Yip, I got it going. I rode it down and up the driveway once. The new motor seemed to have some problems as well so I never could be bothered to fix it up fully. Even though I bought it off you for that rediculously cheap price, to put it on the road with out even making it look pretty would have costed about the same as buying a perfect example from trademe. That's cause it had lots of little bits and pieces wrong with it due to your mate who owned it before you, neglected in caring for it in a major way. The condition of some of it's bits were quite very shocking LOL
So yea, it's good that you didn't buy it to keep and fix it up yourself. I myself didn't loose any money when I sold it. I broke even so I was happy with that.

Cheers CG! Just as long as the WOF people won't send the red and blues after me and the motor runs fine, I ain't gunna complain!

I took it to Colemans Suzuki and they laughed at it when they did a check. It literally had close to 0 psi of compression! LOL After that, there wasn't any point in opening it all up cause when this happens, you know that the motor is fuked! lol
