Qualifying:
After knowing that we were up first i got the track as early as possible to hopefully be ready in time for qualifying. I started as close to the front as usual to stop any slower people in front of me slowing me down and with no reports of debris on the track I pushed 100% right from the start. After the end of qualifying I always look behind to see how far behind Rogan is and noticed he was much further back than usual. With not much expectation to have a good qualifying time, I got a new best qualifying time by more than a second 1:29.825 and knowing that i am never good at qualifying was pretty very happy with this as it put me 3rd on the grid and 1st in streetstock.
Race 1:
After hearing that Rogan was having problems with his bike I knew I could take out all wins this weekend. Being up front on the grid helped with having the two minilite 250s infront of me because trying to keep up with them is a good way to get the lap times down. Pushing my braking to about 50m into the first corner I beat everyone behind me and held onto third place overall and held this untill the second to last lap when Aaron on his prolite passed me into dunlop, but knowing he was no threat to my points decided to leave him. I ended up finishing the race fourth overall but 1st in streetstock and now down to a 1 point 2nd behind Rogan on points. My best lap a 1:28.865.
Race 2:
Race two was very much the same as race one with trying to keep up with the minilites. But held the third place overall untill the finish line and claimed first in the streetstock moving me up into first place on points by two. My best lap time was a decent 1:28.962 which is good for just racing by myself, it also gave me a big lead over rogan at the end of the race by 17 seconds.
Race 3:
After a terrible start giving me a 20 second penalty I knew I would only get second at best but still had to push hard to make sure of it. Rogan got passed me a couple of times but due to my better drive out of higgins could always get him going into dunlop. I managed to win the race but with the 20 second penalty got 2nd in streetstock. giving Rogan a 1 point lead in the championship points. The race also gave me my new PB of 1:27.704.
Race 4:
After another good start i was infront for the majority of the race until Aaron passed me on one of the later laps. I still managed to keep pace with him until the end and came first in streetstock. I also managed a very good time of 1:27.831 very close to my new PB. This win put me back infront on points.
Race 5:
With this being the last race of the weekend and Rogan's last chance to take the lead back I knew he would push me really hard for the win. After a good start I was slowed down into the first corner by the two minilites which gave Rogan the chance to take the lead from me all up until Higgins in which I can get much better better drive onto the back straight. this toing and froing continued for many of the 12 laps but in the end I knew that I could always beat him over the line because of my better drive out of the last two corners. Aaron managed to get passed me in the later laps and powered on to break the Prolite lap record. I ended up taking the win in streetstock and a beat Rogan by a good 5 seconds. This put up to a 5 points lead in the series. my best lap was only a 1:28.095 but considering all of my laps from that day were very consistent I was very proud of myself.
