found an xt660x, is 2006,orange and black and done 6500 kms.The guy wants 7900 for it.
Is this value for money.
Only on lams liscence,what other options do you suggest?

You may need to sell the bikes on your ownership list as they arnt LAMS approved.

bmw650 enduro tourers are on the list also.

ducati make a lams monster.

I reckon do some more hunting for XT660x or find an alternative to it, i.e Suzuki V Strom 650 or similar, one of my mate owns it and he says its great both on straight roads and cornering. Good luck with that anyway :)

When I was looking at getting a LAMS bike I was pointed at the V-Strom. I did the calculation on it and it came out a bit high. It has now disappeared off the list.

I contacted LTSA and enquired about it, and they said the information they had been given when putting the list together was wrong, and the bike does not come under the law. (as I thought by my calculation). I think an older model might scrape in (I think the first model might have been 150-151 kw/t) but the new ones are over (161 kw/t). Even the early models are right at the limit.
