Hi, We're doing a bit of research on personalised bike gear. If you can spare a couple of minutes (that's all it will take) to participate it would be really appreciated. You dont need to share any personal details.

Thanks in advance ;)

Who's paying you?

Another shop or manufacturer looking to get an 'edge'
"yes sir it is more expensive, but look at how you can tailor it to be exclusive.... oh hang on don't ask silly questions like will the exorbitant price actually mean the gear is made out of high quality materials, see it is 600D abrasive resistant nylon, you don't REALLY NEED 900D 'Cordura'..."

I'll put away Mr Cynic now !!!!

Its actually my own business folks.....nothing sinister......really just wanting to ensure that what we are offering meets the needs of the market. Nothing more than that. Its not about gear as such either - just the personalisation of it with patches and things like that.

What's the name and nature of the business?

Then Apologies for Mr Cynic, but had you been this 'open' in your OP? The responses so far could well have been friendlier! We see and have had recent 'surveys' (Hi Vis) with very suspect (ACC) ulterior motives behind the poor sods doing the actual survey.

As soon as I saw question 5. didn't have a "I don't want to tell you" option, I decided not to do the survey.

I realise that's important information in the context of the survey, but I won't answer it (nor do I see the point of skewing results with a nonsense answer).

No problems - and thanks for doing what you have.

Thanks mate - get what you are saying and yep should have given more details up front!

Done but not completed, all the associated personalised question were unaswered as I dont ''personalise'' my gear in any way.
Unless using insulation tape across the top of my visor for (sun strike reduction) counts?
I own a few badges/patches from events in the past, but they live in a tin.

Done, but I couldn't find where to enter my address for the free giveaways

Oh well, at least it wasn't like an ACC survey in disguise

Um, good luck with the business but aren't you 30 - 40 years late?
Maybe its just me?

Thanks mate - really appreciate it. I was too young to do this 30-40 years ago :-)
It's been an interesting addition to the embroidery business we run and has gone really well since starting it up. Really looking to step this side of the business up now and this is really just to help us understand what the bike community is looking for.

I personalise my gear... changed the armour in it and added more velcro to gloves... not exactly what you're after, being patches and all that... but ya asked...
