Anyone out there have a set of 7/8th clubman bars they might want to part with?
Just looking for a cheap set for a post classic race bike, don't have to be flash.
Cheers

Mate, you're a bloody legend, PM on the way shortly. Clubmans pretty much the same as Ace bars, cafe racer looking.

I remember the GSX 400 from my youth. I always wondered.....
What is faster or even just the better bike?
The GSX400E twin or the GSX400F four (early 80's of course)?
Twin - 44hp 178kg dry
Four - 45hp 175kg dry

Don't worry about postage.
Glad they fit, awesome looking tank from above.
Have seen other bikes with GS400 tanks for cafe racer style.
A guy in Sydney makes replica Norton clubman seat pans, that look primo behind the GS tank.
Has a web site, can't remember the name,,,very reasonable prices, good service.

Good on you mate.
Had a quick look at the seat foam today, reckon I can take some out of the middle and reattach the front piece and it should be tickety boo with the some similar adjustments to the seat cover.

There was a four racing at Ruapuna for a while, it certainly sounded the business. My money would be on that.
I've seen an old fashioned ton on the speedo of my twin down the main straight at Ruapuna, heaven knows if its accurate though.
It's geared fairly highly and really does nothing in 6th gear, racing B track I get into 5th and to about 140 clicks before pothole.
Tried to get round it in 5th once, never again LoL.

Haha, I had the same bars on my GSX250 (back in the day). They felt weird at first as you steered in a circle at low speed, but they did put much needed weight on the front.
The 400/4s were a bit cracky of head. That said a mate did in his twin head, think still in warranty.
