Does anyone else have Zard Pipes on heir bike??

I just put a set of Zard Pipes on my Street Triple. They look stunning and are quite loud. i have a wee problem though - there is an annoying sound pitch up untill 6000 revs then all is good, unfortunately I can't ride round town at 6000 revs!!! I have sent away for some new ear plugs so hopefully that will help!

Jury still out on the look of them, a few more clicks on the attachment may sway that though....
I had a shorty put on my bike and it lasted all of 100kms and I had it removed...for the same reason you state about the noise.
I knew I would never get use to it so it had to go...lucky for me, someone else wanted the same shorty on his new bike and the swap was done.
Your bike your rules...thats all that matters.

Did they come with inserts ? if not you may be able to borrow someone elses and get some made,

They always make some funky looking pipes... being different, they'll probably divide opinion. Personally, I'd fit a set if I had a 675.

Zard pipes seemed to be standard on NCR Ducatis last time I looked. Since NCR prices tend to look like telephone numbers one would hope the quality is up there.

Had a Neptune on my Sprint....sounded fantastic, also put one on my CB1300...same result.

I have had a neptune before on a Suzuki GSX750F, lovely pipes, thought of them but heard them on a triple and wasn't keen on the sound. I agree I need a tail tidy - next thing!!! Will get some more photos up soon.

They look the biz, Ive got Neptunes on my Speedy and they are quite loud. But hit 6000 rpm and its awesome!! What tail tidy are you going for? Check out www.powersport.co.nz for Evotech ones.

It will be the noise reducer inserts - designed to be quiet(ish) but tend to have a kick in sound (6k in your case by the sound of it).

Remove them and see if the racket is acceptable (it will be loud!).

If not contact Zard and see what a set of noise reducers cost as you can 'modify' them to get a tone you desire (I have made my own ones for my Yoshi's to get a meaty sound that is not as rowdy as no reducer at all). The prob with the Zard ones is the outlet (which I shall not comment on....) is a special shape so a factory reducer would be best to chop up.

Can't understand for the life of me why they design a pretty back end on a bike, then dangle an ugly bit of plastic off the end of it that looks like the afterthought that it is.

The noise is bad below 6000 revs but cool above 6000revs. everyone keeps saying to take the baffles out, so perhaps I should try!
