MV Agusta 800 Brutale (triple)

What the hells up with MV. They recently announced cutting back the Brutale range, then they do this.

Not a big fan of the current looking Brutales or the new 675 Brutale BUT this 800/3 dude is the biz. I like the looks of the blue/white

Bit pissed to be honest after buying the 675 F3 triple to learn they had an 800 up their sleeve with more torque, bigger tank and fresh styling. Bastards! Mind you it'll be unlikely we'll see any in the shops for 18 months plus the rest.

This will rark up Triumph for not putting a powerful version of the 800 Tiger motor into a naked road bike. Missed opportunity boys.

Probably not a missed opportunity at all. Introducing an 800 may eat into the Street Triple sales and not increase overall market share - not enough differential. Maybe if the motor was from the 1200 Adventure, there may be a case. From world wide sales data, the Triumph marketing team seem pretty astute .

Indeed, but will anyone know why? Could he be used as an alternative energy source? How do we get Old Man Ferrari spinning in his? Hire a female F1 driver and build a hybrid road car with feeble combined output and styling by Ghia?

That concept mock up looks very similar to this FZ8. Bit of stretching here and there, but close enough. Guess that it's really hard to differentiate on your design without polarising people. I always thought the Benelli TNT looked fantastic but most of my mates thought it had been beaten with the Ugly Stick. Same with cars. Early Subaru Imprezas were always a "bit different" but they morphed into looking like everything else.

They really know how to make a fine looking bike. IMHO they could teach the like of Kawasaki a lesson in exhaust design for a start. I really like the Z1000, but the exhaust makes me want to puke. This thing is sex on wheels.

Having same thoughts, I would like one, but still a bit pissed at the company. They have done some serious damage to potential sales of the just released 675 Brutale. Still I can't help but admire 'the look' of this machine. Something about it grabs me.

Looks like those Italians at MV Agusta are drunk on something? Not sure what but after years of small or limited model changes and no new model releases they have gone nuts this year. This Rivale may be a show stopper but it's a big marketing risk releasing so many new, yet in ways 'similar' models, in such close procession that the last release may hurt any expected sales of the earlier models.

Buyers thinking of taking the Brutale 675, which is almost on our shores will now be tempted to wait for the bigger 800cc Brutale. And lets admit it, to most of us bigger is better.

My guess is because so many of these models are very similar in design and parts its relatively inexpensive for them to push a wider range. This way they target a much greater market. Some gorgeous machines for sure. :yes:

I've tested the Brutale 800 and the motor is a beast. I mean that in a good way, powerful. Well actually also in a bad way as a bit too excitable at times in sport mode.

So now it seems the rumours of the F3 being produced in 800cc capacity will be formally announced 5 June. According to what Owners are hearing from Dealers in Europe. There's a picture so it must be true! Maybe I can just buy the new fairing decal.

Italians are like this.
The Brutale according to the company press releases when I got one said the Brutale was built with the smaller motor because the frame geometry was not suitable for a 1000cc motor so it was only increased to 910 instead of 1000. Go figure.
