Whilst I don't live on ChCh I am a chick who rides but I don't have feelings or a handbag and I share no animosity towards Harleys or their riders.

Do you find it hard to make friends?

It is ones privilage to ask and or state, who they would rather, or rather not ride with.

I wont ride with those who are intent on showing/proving themselves in any way shape or form....that kind can stay well clear.
The moderating has been exceptional..Gremlin must have removed said item from pertaining orifice?

ps: what kind of handbags?
pps: don't see Honda riders gettin' all precious/fickle when branded gay...why is that?

i have nothing against harlys, just get sick of waiting for them, id rather talk about the ride or bikes, not listen to how their husband doesnt listen to them anymore or how its so great to get away from the kids for the day or talk about shoes and handbags is all im saying... if you got offended by what i put then my bad... and nice to see the moderator took the last two pages of boys bull shit away :)

The Biker Angels forum is here for women to discuss genuine issues or share experiences with other females in a friendly environment. Blokes are welcome to post in here, BUT any offensive or overtly sexual posts causing degeneration of threads will be deleted or sent to pointless drivel where you can carry it on to your hearts content.

Try to keep it clean people. This forum is often the first port of call for newbie girly bikers and I'd prefer them not to be scared away.

Did every male post break the rules?
My wife likes shoes, handbags and bikes.
The new harley 1200 that replaced Buells would be as good as most bikes in the corners I would think.

If we had a man zone section it would offend the ladies.

Annnnnd you ride a VTR250? I'm not offended - there's harley riders over here in Wellys that 'carve up" on the rimutaka's.

It's not what you ride, it's how you ride it!

Well I suppose that excludes me....although I don't ride a harley, I still ride a biggish cruiser.....I can't see the hype people have with handbags(or manbags), I don't have many feelings left as they've been well and truely trampled, so two out of three not too bad. Actually, make that 3 out of 4...an extra point for being a chick

Would politics, sports and religion also be out? Hell, I rather talk handbags than only about the ride just done.

I reckon that you need to ride with heaps of women, once and then decide who you want to ride with again. Who knows it may open your eyes to new topics of conversation.

That said, take your point. Nothing worse than having a decent ride spoilt by listening to whinging about blokes at the coffee or beer stop.

Of course you could ride with blokes. Different ridin' different talkin'. Can't say I have ever heard handbags mentioned in their company

Anybody that has time for an in-depth conversation on any subject at a Cafe/pub stop ... is spending too much riding time stopped ... and posing ... !!!

And deserve hearing all the winging ...

I've tidied up this thread twice already. Mossy has already posted some guidelines.

This is the Biker Angels section. Blokes are welcome to post, if they have something constructive to offer to the ladies. Otherwise, stay in the general areas and have your discussions there.

Not really having a go at you Gremlin but it is wildly unfair that we share a forum with males and females yet 'we' (the royal one) think that we should have our own sub forum and not have the male folks posting here. IMO - this makes us look like feminist bitches who even though we involve ourselves in a "mans sport" still think we should make up our own precious rules...... Doesn't make sense to me and hopefully any other female motorcyclists that hopes to ever be taken seriously!

If you have a problem with the setup of the site, you're welcome to raise it in Site Stuff, but not in the threads.

The thought is often females can be intimidated by all the males, so this offers a friendly space for them to discuss topics they wish, without the usual carry on in the rest of the site.

Yet the same woman can bring bitchiness and "over-the-top-emotion" to the "male" forums and the men get no say.

Hi Im new to KR. Brought my first bike a month ago (have been riding just over a year) a little Yamaha SRV250. Shes not common, which i love, and is a beautiful cafe racer styled bike. Generally just ride around hamilton but am looking for others to ride with on longer journeys. Love riding to the mount, these something fun about racing over the mountain. As for no harleys, feelings or handbags, I will admit to preferring the cruiser look and sound but love leaning too much for a harley. I like to consider myself 'drama free' and have always tended to get along better with the boys just from the lack of dramas they create. Not interested in gossip, back stabbing and general bitching. And handbags are too impractical for my bike, Ill stick with a backpack :)

Did you find a riding buddy?
I admit to having a y chromasome so not the xx you were looking for.
I'm having a couple of weeks off between jobs and the weather at the mo is awesome!
I ride a big sports bike but promise that I don't have the over inflated ego to match.
I'm not interested in breaking the sound barrier but do love carving corners...

There are at least five girls i know of who are more than capable of cutting up the corners, blitzing the straights and flattening the hills as good as , if not better than most of the boys here in Christchurch. but they dont advertize the fact. They are great girls, and dont talk handbags, x's or how so in so looks hawt. They enjoy the roads as much as their men do. You will meet them in time, and you have camped at ralleys only a few meters from them too.

Oh saw you today in little river,as you were catching up to your riding buddie. If you had looked across the road you would have seen Karen on her silver 650. A similar rider to you, not afraid of twisting the wrist .

I'm all for keeping the Biker Angels forum XX friendly, without XY shite-skiting and penis-posing (there's plenty of that to be had in every other forum on this site). However blokes who have a genuine interest in assisting or advising should always be welcome, just like the girlies are welcome to post in any other place too.

I really should look in here more often.

p.s. i lurve those boots! and wish I could wear my thigh high stilettos without topling off my bike at the first stop and making a complete uncool arse of myself.

Haha, I beg to differ about the "waiting" buzz for Harleys rides, but you have obviously had your ears pounded by the pipes as you past all of them with your 250cc. Have a great coffee time down there in Chch with whatever else the gals are riding on. Its not what you ride, its that you ride at all..

lll be honest and say the wildest pass I ever had put on me was by a gurl - Avalon Biddle on her 125 when I was on my 'tard at Manfeild. I thought I was at the edge of the track but she popped under my arm none the less.

And she is a top lady too, great attitude.

So no 'girls cant ride' shit.

And I have a missus and we are quite happy ( well I friggin hope she is anyway or Ill have a busy weekend) so am not spading here either.

Im suited to wearing a helmet to impress girls!

Only vaguely on topic but posted anyway.
