So I start this thread because I met Greg King a couple of years ago.
We weren't friends but he enlightened me, I may even still have some notes floating about, he impacted on and inspired me that much. I came away thinking about studying law but I knew I didn't have what it takes.
Despite everything Gil Elliott and Greg were able to be sat, side by side and agreed on a lot.
It was quite a sight to behold. They may have even been redeeming for each other.
Greg bought a lot of things to light some of us may never have known. He was brave.
He was able to face a packed room-full of many victims of the crimes he'd represented. I think it did a lot for his credibility - It had never been done before and I'm dubious that it would ever again..
A few things that really stood out for me, was that he was for Justice reform, seemed like one of the good guys with integrity that I sensed in his profession, empathy for victims, despite the characters he represented.
It goes without saying he'd have been privy to a lot most of us would have nightmares about.
Out of respect, I would not repeat what media are saying with regards to his passing, as there's no confirmation as far as I'm aware yet.
I just wanted to say RIP, pay tribute here and that my thoughts are with his family.
