I have the left side sorted. Anyone know where I might get the other one quick? 20x47x9 I suspect it will be from Mr Suzuki.

Yep. found that size listed as 68204. The bearing has 6204 on it. But is narrow.

Bugger. If you're desperate is there any way you can machine the case/shaft 5mm wider?

I have had 6204 brgs slimmed down before by a magnetic table surface grinder and saved myself heaps of $$$$$$.

These precision surface grinders can be found in tool rooms and precision engineering shops.

Don't blame her not wanting filthy bucket racers in the house. Best you get a second coffee machine.

your right rich its a 620-9 9= 9mm and the bearings you can buy are 10mm just buy on of the cheaper ones from skf and get Cemac to grind it like I did in mine.

Funny after all the drama it tuners out that the left side case has been machined to take a cheap off the shelf 6204. So it can be done but not much meat left at all. Strange coz the bottom end was of a commuter that had run out of oil. Maybe a factory cock up and fix. Anyway with the shaft back in she is much smoother. Will be interesting to see how much hp it has lost, if any.

Negligible, I wouldn't say more than 7 or 8%

7 to 8% nooooooooooooooowha. Unacceptable. Best start tuning the thing proper then.

Just bore it an extra 20cc to 200 to make up for the power loss.

If only. But if it was a 250 it would be making over 40hp with the same level of tuning. Now that would be fun.

Well sort of, valve size might limit it quite a bit.
