I get me bike back tomorrow after a long wait for parts etc. Looks like I might have to take the afternoon off to, erm, "road test" it...IYKWIM. What a chore that'll be.
Course I have to embezzle my house from myself (again) to pay the bills.

Hardening on one of the cam followers failed and took out the cam lobe as well. Needed new exhaust cam and follower. Which took a gazillion years to arrive. :ar15:
Wasn't quick enough.
Should be faster now...:devil2:

Actually, I forgot. We have a comp that day so I can't go. Last comp for the year though, so maybe next time!
Took the trial run out to Raglan this afternoon - simply in the interests of checking the function of T motorcycle you unnerstand after its operation.
Seemed to go OK...all the cars got off the road when they saw me coming. Such polite drivers out that way...nuff said.

It seemed to go OK today - cut two minutes off one trip (the one along that private road, y'know?...) No faster but maybe no slower either. Hard to tell without a balls out run on a track I guess. You can't really check out that sort of stuff on the highway without becoming somewhat...antisocial.
Funny thing: I thought I might want to go easy for a bit, what with being off a bike for two mumfish an' orl. But. As soon as I got on, the familiar red mist descended and the loony was let loose once again...
Ahh. I digress. Due to, no doubt, "chemical enhancement..." IYKWIM Mills Reef Reserve Merlot/Malbec, 2009. A good year.
I feel so much better after a ride today than I did yesterday after two months without a ride. No wonder I prefer bikes to houses.

Had the bike back for 48 hours now. And added 500km to the clock.
Filled it up for the third time just now. Some bugger is there ogling the bike as I come out of the servo - says "That's a pretty fierce bike for a man of your age." (bastard!). My reply:- "Yeah, well I'm not this old when I get on it eh?" He said not a lot more.
Must be summertime closing in - had the first of the seasonal "soft tar creep" this arvo. I'd forgotten how weird that feeling is.
