Hello again to you all!

Now my trip to NZ is coming near and everything important is sorted out - except the storage of the crate within the bike is shipped to NZ.

The ship with the Bike shall arrive at 26th of November in Auckland (in the moment it is in time), so probably the unloadig will be at the 27th of November.

Till now everything worked fine with the shipping and the price was OK, but now the freight forwarder wants to charge for the storage $30/week (!) - that is nearly racketeering....espacially for that the crate can and will be disjoined, so it needs 0.9x0.3 m (max.) floor space...

So please, have anyone in or near Auckland the opportunity to store the crate for a reasonable price (2 months till End of Jauary)?
Or at least a UTE and the time to transport it to an self storage in Auckland, which are expensive too (because I'll have to pay for a complete storage room (2x1m, 2.5m high), that will be almost empty then) - but not nearly as expensive as $30/week...

Thanks a lot folks!

Greetings from Germany
Nobby

Hey Nobby, NZ$30 per week isn't bad really. It's less than Euro20 per week. I have lots of space, but none covered.

I've got a ute but no space. I'm on here way more than is by any means healthy so pm me closer if you need assistance shifting it.

Well, $30 per week IS REALLY bad! The crate needs less than half a squaremeter groundspace...
For $120 I could rent a 6-10 m³ room in a self storage - it's a pity that no self storage has really small boxes to rent... (except the 1x1x1m which don't fit because the lack of height)

Thank you for offering space (uncoverde wouldn't be a problem), but as you are in the Warkworth region this is a bit far from Auckland harbour (about 60 km I think) - except you would offer the transport too ;)

Ride on!

Hey Madness!

It seems that BoristheBiter can store the crate but doesn't have a UTE, so probably I will pm you when I arrived in Auckland.
Thanks so far!

Hey there, if you still have storage issues contact

Glen Reid - Renegade Trailers 021 918 800

He recently started a storage operation in Albany industrial with transportable crates, they will fit a bike inside so you could unpack the bike at the carriers then repack in one of his transportable crates. From what I understand they can then deliver his crate to your doorstep for unpacking.

NOt sure on cost but I do know he's a top bloke, so well worth talking to him.

Kevin

ps. I can also assist with transporting the bike to him if needed and also to your nearst compliance centre when that time comes.

Hey nobby please remember that you have to pick up the crate and the bike together. I wanted to pick up the crate one day later, no chance. ;-)

Looking forward to see you
