Anybody know some one who wants to part with a 2009 onwards ktm 250/300 EXC (or similar model)? I have been trawling TM, but the boss says I need to shorten my arms and deepen my pockets. There are a few on there but most are outside the AKL area, or out of my price range.

The KTM 250/300 changed little from 08-011 then a major revamp for 012- 6 speed gearbox, new frame, new tank and shrouds, guards etc.
What's your budget and most would have between 100-150 hrs on them as the norm. Best make yourself self known to local shops your after a KTM250/300 so if they trade one you'll be keen on it.

I'm not allowed to crack the 6K mark (and am counting myself lucky to be looking at that!). I have spoken to a few bike shops in the AKL area, but I tend not to get called about anything coming in, hence this post. I have been told people are hanging on to their bikes at the moment as it doesn't seem like a good market to sell, but I'm hoping someone knows of bikes around that could be for sale if someone(myself) shows an interest.
I've had a couple of bikes on my radar that I let slip through, which was gutting.

I personally wouldn't deal with any of the KTM shops in Auck as I don't know them and vice verse a , I have a long affinity with the Patterson's in Rotorua , Lester at Wheels of Thames my mates tell me is a good bloke to deal with, Greg Boyd in Hamilton I've known for almost 30 yrs on a casual basis as how he is to deal with can't really say but he's been around a long time so must be doing something right.
6k should allow you to buy a 08/010 in a private sale, dealers will be around 7-8k , the trade in value for an 08/010 in good nick would be 4.5-5.5k , just wait as a bike will come along it's all about timing.

I have an 09 KTM 250sx which is set up for trail riding with a 9.5L EXC tank, green spring to lessen the light swith power they have from factory. Suspension Tech suspension re-valve etc. Well maintained and in very good condition. Would be in your price range.

Bike is in Auckland.

PM if you would like more details.
