With the Internet being such a big part of our biking life's nowadays I thought lets start a thread with who people actually buy there gear off. Either here in NZ or oversea's.

It will help to add our experience with them. Good or bad. Would you recommend them to be used etc etc, and also what you purchased.

So I will get the ball rolling.

Solomotoparts.com
I purchased a schuberth c3 helmet from them. Great to deal with. Also got a Top end Klim badlands pro out fit. That did not fit well so sent it back. No problems in doing that. Overall great service.

MotovationUsa.com
Purchased an SC project exhaust for the tiger. Great service

Biker-land.de
Got a Rukka suit of them. Excellent service.

I hope this thread goes a long way to helping you all find the gear that you want with the best service.

Have yet to use them but the site is real easy to navigate and they have an extensive range.

http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectID=2587640
Which I have used, great to deal with and have problem with a recommedation.

Must support the locals also...Cycletreads and Motomail ..:niceone:
Always a pleasure to visit Cycltreads North Shore.

** A particular helmet at FC-Moto is $269 V $600 at motorcyclegear...hard not to shop overseas.

I want one of them.

For dual sport a great set of kit. But sizing real random. I do not think you will see anyone selling it here this millennium. Get on a plane ah!

http://www.revzilla.com/ <- a US based site, excellent range and a good price. Most of the gear has a video review and decent sizing information. Shipping is fast.

http://www.motoone.co.nz/ <- a NZ based site. Free shipping with purchases over $150. Ive mainly used him to buy 2T oil, gearbox oil, chain lube, coolant etc as they have an awesome range at the best price Ive found. The owner is a damn nice guy too who helped me with by RGV rebuild, so he has my loyalty. Havent bought any gear but they have a pretty good selection.

Classic, I see you on the FC Moto thread.

Just got a new comfy gel seat for the tiger. Eight days from the states.
www.proitalia.com. They are based in California. Ducati, Triumph, aprilia, moto guzzi and other good brands of apparel. Great service.

Was in the process of ordering a Givi E193 box mount yesterday. I decided to buy NZ, do the right thing etc.

Motomail price was $120. No prob, standard retail. Thing is, $24 delivery. Their website advertised free delivery for Internet orders over $50.

Rang Moto One, they now have the $120 bracket winging it's way to me for a total cost of $120. Yes, free delivery.

I rang Motomail back and suggested they may wish to review their shipping policy. It cost them the sale.

Excellent service, used them 3 or 4 times. Cover lots of brands.

Excellent guy to deal with on second hand parts. Seemed to be cheaper than most others in his ebay store as well.

Used proitalia before as well as mentioned in this thread and they have been great also.

DHGate.com.

http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/motorcycle-accessories/c112008.html#DCP112-L1-13

Basically it's a Chinese Ebay, where they sell "night-shift" or by-products of many quality makers (Alpinestars, LS2 helmets, Harley jackets, Sidi boots with fake logo etc). Practically the same shit with different branding and at 10% of the store cost. Comes out from the same factory. Either these ones are produced at night or "left overs". These brands are NOT "authentic".

Check em out. They are not "authentic" or "genuine" but practically they are the same shit from the same manufacturing floor.

Most products do free shipping. Some items arriving in 7 days!

One word of caution, make sure of the seller's feedback. Also, I never dealt with electronics.

Anyone else dealth with DHGate before? I don't know about others but I've got some positive reviews.

Dainese Pro Shop
http://bimoto.be/dainese_store/index.php
Average site aesthetically, but the best service I've come across, for everything Dainese this is the place, if it's not on the site they will get it.
Accurate with sizing and they offer helpful advice, I highly recommend them!
(No I'm not getting anything for this, but I bought an RTwin jacket and am in love with it.)

Also, I think someone should compile each of the sites with a short blurb in to one post a FAQ it or something.

Except import tax?

No import tax on motorcycle accessories. Gst yes if over $400 including shipping. That's if they pick it up.

I bought my jacket from them. Its lower end, paid $200 but 1.4 mm thick leather and has armor, also has a thermal lining which you can take out. Had it a few months now its pretty good (nothings broken).

Outstanding to deal with...:niceone:
I ordered a new helmet yesterday at around 3.30pm and it was here at 9.30am this morning!
A few emails went back and forth yesterday to John Mehaffy (Sales Manager) and he directed me to Warkworth Motorcycles
Totally stoked with the helmet...an HJC FS-11 with the Air Pump System and drop down sun visor...

If you ride a BMW these guys have all the stuff you need. I got a givi tanklock bag from them. Price was actually about the same as here in NZ.
I could have got it from Cycletreads but what I was after was out of stock at the time, and some of the people I first talked to did not really have much of an idea.
Mhornig was great to deal with. Typical German precision. There first email was in German, as I had a problem with payment. I responded with I am in NZ, I do not speak German. All good after that.
When the tank bag arrived they included a catologue of what they do. Very impressive. Particularly if you ride a Beamer. Which I do not.

I bought some CNELL boots 4 years ago. been used pretty much daily, everything from commuting to sunday rides, weekend jaunts, touring, a heap of trackdays etc etc and theyve been great, actually only just looking for a new pair now as they fell apart - fuckin good run for a $99 pair of boots.
Oh, and they survived a 70km lowside and a bin at the track at over 200 and were still good as gold and offered decent protection and i had no ankle foot or shin injuries.

Got a Sena Bluetooth communication thingee from them. Ordered it on Saturday, and it arrived a week later from the States. Also saved about 50% on what it would have cost here.

It's been an expensive two months. The tiger is now rather personilised to my tastes.
Got some rizoma indicators from www.caprimoto.com. Very good service and shipping good value. Got a couple of oil filters as well.
Got a sw motech sump guard from www.twistedthrottle.com.
Got a Touratech chain guard and front sprocket cover from www.touratech.co.nz . Great service from these guys. And good luck to them. The price was competitive! Thanks Nigel.

So, I will let the bank account take a breather then it's up to Robert Taylor in April or may for the suspension.
