Have just gone from Diablo Corsas to the Bridgestones for the TL .The Diablos (both standard and Corsa) are good but the TL rips the rears apart and I was slowly going broke. I tried the Michelin Pilot Power which lasted and gripped well but gave me a couple of moments when it shouldnt have and I just lost confidence in them .
So I decided on front an rear change to bridgestones and put them on for Saturdays ride . It was a mixture of dry, damp and a small bit of rain.
So far I am very impressed , grip well in the dry and were easy to scrub in.
But it was the wet grip that surprised me , I started pushing them quite hard and never had a moment , small wiggles on the white lines and controlled slippage on those smooth tar patches other than that they out gripped my nerve.
Be good to see how they last .

THEY HAVE LOTS OF SILICA IN THEM WHICH MAKE THEM GOOD IN THE WET, I LIKE THE TREAD PATTERN AS THERES NO INTERSECTING GROOVES WHICH GIVE A BAD WEAR PATTERN AND POOR HANDLING WHEN PUSHED HARD , IVE ALWAYS LIKED MICHELIN FOR RACING BUT FOR THE ROAD I ALWAYS LIKE BRIDGESTONES, I ACTUALLY BOUGHT SECOND HAND OE BRIDGESTONES FOR MY GIXXER

on my second 014 rear and the front is also close to knackered btu it should last ?? so i can do them both at the same time next time round. I think they're excellent for what its worth :ride:

Got 014 for front and 012 for rear.
I have always used BT56, 010 and 012 as they came up, and it has always been a steady improvement one after the other.

Have been impressed with 014, although not as confidence inspiring when cold compared to the previous ones. I think Bridgestones has always focussed more towards warm tyres. 56 was good when cold, but 010 was worse when cold, etc.

Will need to change the rear soon, so I know what tyres to get now. Dammit.....012 only lasted 5000kms with city riding on SP1....

yeah....I have pilot powers on my tl....and I reckon they just don't have buggar all feed back...I don't trust the front end like I used to and yeah...not as nice and diabalo's....or the pilot race's I had last [the race's don't last more that 2000km on the back of a tl] --- [unless you hop off and push your bike around corners and accelerate like a morris minor]

I've never been a Bridgestone fan until I bought the Z1000. They came standard with 012's and I'm on by second 014 on the rear. Superb tyre.

ermm as WINJA said... it does seem they have a good bit of SILICA in them. Got to test them out today in the wet, rubber is quite sticky when warm... but the tread is almost useless for any water on the road..
