Went for a ride this morning with the lads to Akaroa. This is a warning to all riders, there are roadworks in the last 500 m or so before you enter Akaroa, I'm talking about the downhill twisty bits. The road works are signposted but there is a large patch of fresh seal with gravel that is on a blind, downhill, left hand corner. It is also in the shade (at 11.45 am) and virtually impossible to see especially if you have a dark visor and or sunnies. I went sideways and had to put my left foot down dirt bike style to save my ass and I was doing 50! The temporary speed limit is 50 km/h, but trust me, you want to be doing no more than 30 km/h.

Easy to say when you know it's there. First I knew of it was when the back wheel was trying to touch the front one. And by the way, don't worry about the sheep (no pun intended) I made sure the farmer put them back in the paddock last week.
Akzle-fuck off.

Fuck, that little bit of dirt ! drink a cup of concrete. Bit of shingle never hurt anything but the chrome on a Harley.

Next time Ill keep it to myself. Looking at the bikes you own, I'd very much doubt they're capable of doing 50 km/h anyway, so you're probably quite safe!

yup, no worries of getting a ticket for speeding, no problems with stone chips, dont have to impress anyone with my skills, just ride the fuckers, still riding shingle roads was common back in the day, there were even race tracks for bikes that were shingle, bugger eh!

So what's a few scratches? - 'chicks dig scars'
Only they would have to get on their knees to see the ones on my bike....:shifty:
