Going to Uni today I came across a broken down black CBR250RR just past the market road turn off (luckily he'd broken down before he reached the flyover). Anyway I pull over to find out what the problem is as I've got 2 hours before my first lecture and karma. Since my mechanical expertise is limited to "if none of the lights shine up either the battery is flat or the fuse is blown" I couldn't be much assistence except to get him through to Coleman's on my mobile so he could get his bike picked up. I offered to hang around until they turned up but he declined my offer so I rejoined the traffic. (remerging with traffic that's doing 90km/h per hour is fun, made me glad that I've got more acceleration than an average car, on the flipside traffic does appear to let you in more readily if your coming off the emergency lane). Since it was incredibly noisy I decided to head off to Coleman's as I still had time to kill, plus I wasn't entirely to sure that the message had gotten through. Arrived at Coleman's, the message had gotten through so I went off to Uni.

Anyway I'm just posting this here incase there's any further news because I told the guy about the kiwibiker forum.

good on ya mate..
hope you were speeding up on the hard shoulder before you merged, and didn't do what always makes me cringe - just pull onto the motorway again and floor it..

Just got to make sure you merge in with a bit of angle. Where the black stuff ends and the red stuff begins often has quite a kerb.

You're a good boy, aren't you! Hope someone like you is around if I ever break down, give yourself a pat on the back!
