Yes i know this is a kind of repost , i have a gsx250 , I like the frame size , not that keen on a rocket ship ( will get a r6 later when i can ride it and take to track days ) what im looking for is some thing to get me to work and fun on my days off maybe a 500cc/600cc . I do round 500kms a week to work and back and the little 250 reving its nut off it 100kms is killing it . I have round 5 grand to spend on a new toy . dont care if its naked or fairing. I want some thing that will do all of the above and last me the next 5 years with no dramas

But I would just save my money and stick with the GSX. Can't be that bad at 100kph can it?

Is the gearing like, way off on your b ike or something? My ZZR I just sold is the same parallel twin sort of engine and was 8k rpm at 100 and 9k at 110. They're buzzy fucking engines being parallel twins, but surely can't be killing the thing?

There's a couple options out there. Do you just want a cheap commuter hack sort of deal?

There are some Bros400s out there if you're feeling adventurous as well. One of em for sale is by a Kber.

My Hornet sits at 8k RPM give or take at 100kph. But with a 16k redline it isn't exactly working all that hard. They last well over 100ks if you treat em nicely too. Worth a look.

My pick of the lot is that cheap GS500 if it's in good nic, or the gs400 from RB welly if the 500 is shit.

Someones stuffed around with the sprocket ratio. Go buy some new ones with the right amount of teeth on them (ask your local bike shop, they should be able to tell you). I had the exact same bike for my learners. Should be sitting at about 8500rpm when doing 100 kms.
