Gidday Aslan.
Both the muffler & tank are too good to butcher to fit my bikes.
Would be great to see them used on bikes that we rode in our youth, aye.

Scott - please don't list any of your mufflers untill mine has sold :D
I have no idea what the tank is worth, they don't often come up in this condition. So will let the auction run - it has a realistic reserve.
Back in the day, to fit a better tap to these tanks one option was to drill out & tap a thread into a spark plug, using that as the sealing flange. However I'm sure you can now buy something suitable straight off the shelf.

Were you still after a fan bro? I've got rid of my old klr stuff but have a fan if you need one.

Yes thanks. I'v found a couple of faults in the DT cooling system but a fan would still be good insurance.
Will give you a call next work trip up your way.

I was looking for one of those for my TLR200, I don't want to butcher the original.

Cool - these were the thing to have on your dirt bike 30 years back. I remember a mate of mine saving up for one for his XL175.

My mate also had one on his XL175 :woohoo: plus had a 210 kit & carby jetting changed.
My XL175 was stock. . . . & after Xmas in '79 we headed down the Sth Is with another mate who had put his TS185 motor into a RM 125 frame. A great trip
:wari::drinknsin:Punk:
Also had a supertrapp on my DR200 a couple years back on a straight pipe. Quite noisy but made the bike sound like a beast !! LOL

I also had an XL175 with a supertrapp on it. Mine had a powerroll 232cc big bore kit on it.

It was a real beast to start, it had that much compression and if you weren`t real carefull when it kicked back ( as it nearly always did ) it would lift you clean off the seat.:Playnice:

I could kick my stock XL175 over so easily that any temptation to change the bore was soon dismissed.
Even Ben had some kick back with the 210 bore at times. His bike was great to ride tho with the extra power. Sounded HOT too !
Had the theory. . . I couldn't ride the 175 to it's capacity so there was no point, but you Mark, you have hoon :msn-wink: & racer written all over you
Gotta luv those orange XL175's :ride::heart:

WTF ?? Bet you are happy with that! Once it went past $130 I lost interest, That's all I think it's worth. What a ding dong battle, why doesn't that happen in my auctions ?

Yes, an exciting auction with over 50 watchers. Price lines up with ebay though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Supertrapp-3M-Dirt-bike-Muffler-317-2000-Black-Steel-Universal-fit-/280938643097?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41693f7e99&vxp=mtr
Ironically the TT Desert tank was rarer but only 9 watchers & sold at bargin price - the difference I guess being two bidders verses one, at the end.

Yeah. The SuperTrapp could go on any thumper. The tank is a bit more specific.

The Supertrapp went to a good home & TT500 fanatic - he had nine TT's in his garage at one stage.
Pic shows one of his current projects, a very rare Pro-Fab HL500:
