Once upon a time there was a chap who used to drag around a chain and padlock to protect his precious motorcycle. His friends (both of them) derided this old-school security, insisting the modern way was a mysterious device called a disc lock. Still, birthdays and Christmas passed devoid of such a thoughtful gift. And they called themselves mates. Ha!
Then one day...er...very late black night this chap was stumbling hopefully through assorted tents and machines at the Vincent Rally when he accidentally bumped against a bike. Instantly the night air was filled with a piercing banshee wail which seemed to go on and on and on. Which in fact it did. Something erupted from a nearby tent shouting anger and threats so our chap hastily slunk off into the darkness.
And so it came to be: a Xena stainless steel disc lock was purchased. Unfortunately about the same time the precious motorcycle threw itself off an exciting piece of road and Xena was left alone having never got off the shelf.
It works. The battery case has been reversed to prevent heart attacks from curious visitors and postal workers.
