My understanding is that Indian Enfield 'domestic' models are not up to scratch for compliance in NZ? (because of substandard brakes if I remember rightly).
What I seem to remember hearing, is that you needed a compliance cert for vinning them, which is only obtainable from Enfield, & which they don't issue for domestic models that are shipped overseas privately.
I asked the guy from the Trademe classified, he said he has a friend at VTNZ that is handling it for him. More power to him I guess, if he can get them thru.
Ive been watching Enfield bullets for a while as eventually I want to pick one up.
