Albert Einstein:
"I fear the day when the technology overlaps with our humanity.
The world will only have a generation of idiots."

The same generation bemoaning minimum wage and youth wage disputes.
I saw a guy the other day with a leaf blower, following a wrk crew-mate trimming pathway edges with a phone in one hand furiously texting away for at least 90% pf the time it took to complete the task...

The kids wonder why I take their phones out of their hands, IF they choose to bring them to the dinner table for dinner.

They only did it a couple of times. One even learnt the first time.:shifty:

Did some research a while ago for a philosophy of education paper... one of the effects of the internet is that people have access to HUGE amounts of information, more in one day than people 300 years ago could access in their whole lives.. but the down side is that people no longer have to "remember". "How do I do that again? Oh.. cant remember.. google.."
It's already having huge effects on teenagers.. (negative ones..)

Also see it travelling. No one looks at anything anymore except through an LCD display.
