hi
so ive got a new camera 720p blabla from harvey
normans for $130
and i made a short video to try it out .
seems cool
decent sound and video etcetc.
i uploaded the video to face book , and it was great and all that.
but when i uploaded it to youtube it turned to custard

what i want to know is how can i fix this???
ive tried uploading it 3 times now on 2 different browsers
chrome and firefox

Still banding at 720p. Probably compression artifacts. What camera and what format does it record in?

it plays perfect on my pc jsut not after ive uploaded to youtube
1280x720 30fps avi format
120' lens
and a 16gb 10 speed mini sd card

Youtube is probably the crappest video hosting site re quality. Maybe try Vimeo if you're looking for a better site off facebook

still face book seems to have the best quality so far??

I think it'll just be the camera quality. 720p =/= 720p if the bitrate isn't the same. You can probably pick up an 'old' GoPro HD Hero1 for pretty cheap these days

yes but have you actualy seen the youtube one the colors are all whack and lines thru the video

Yeah, your vid from the first post? It has red, green, and blue banding regardless of which resolution I set it to. I had also thought changing to 720p might sort it but it didn't

Cos the host sites compress your video and youtube has the crappiest quality compression of them all. Low quality in means really low quality out
