Shane 'The Marshmellow Man' Cameron should now, get a real job, purely to halt his embarrassing fate.

I don't think he recovered fully from stripping off the excess weight.
He did well enough though - going 12 rounds for a world title is no mean feat. Green was no slouch.

Unfortunately didn't get to see it but from reports it sounds a bit like a re-run of the Lennox Lewis David Tua debacle!
Green's plan of sapping Cameron's strength before the fight seemed to work a treat, then simply give him a boxing lesson! :corn:

Yeah, Cameron lost his power along with the weight. His face cuts way too easily too. What were the judges scorecards?

They've mostly fixed that now.

Thought this fight was inevitable really.
Cameron has not beaten anyone major through his career so this was no surprise.
The category he fought in was one that was configured for those who couldn't compete at Heavy weight , so is a little non existent anyway.:violin:

Perhaps he could do a nationwide tour on 'How Not to Win at Boxing'...I would tell that to his face......via email :motu:

I've met him in person quite a few times. Have sold his manager a few bikes. Fucked if I'd give him any lip.

We had David Tua behind us on a flight into Wellington once...now theres a big man. Talked to him while standing there waiting to exit, was going to tug on the chillies he had around his neck but thought better of it.

I think either of those guys would take a lot more to fire up, to the point of hitting you, than say the average punter on the street.

I didn't know anyone bothered to watch boxing anymore...
Don King fucked it up and turned it into summat hardly better than WWF years ago.

I would guess that Shane is probably a nice guy, he is tough and dedicated but he is not a very good boxer, more of an above average walk up slugger!
His determination to prove he is better than he has demonstrated so far, might just see him ending up walking on his heels and dependent upon the state!
I reckon he should quit now and find another job, I could respect him for doing that but I doubt that he will do it, damn shame really.

Camron has in fact won the vast majority of his fights.
You sound like my old man used to,,if your not number one your useless so may as well give up.:pinch:
Pity the world if everybody thought like that:facepalm:

Yup, prior to last night, he was 31 fights for 29 - 2, with 22 KOs. One of those losses was to Tua.
You dont have that many fights in ANY fight-sport without having alot of talent, and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a little bit retarded, or has never had the pleasure of dabbling in fight sports, and getting in the ring to understand it.
Cameron lost the fight because Green made it a brawl - which evidently is where he shines.
and bitching that Cameron should retire because he lost a fight last night to a guy that has previously had THREE world titles is a bit dumb too. He may never win a world title, but that doesnt mean he should give up boxing for good.
and In case you ask, no, Im not a boxing, or a Cameron fan-boy at all, but I do take an overall interest in fights, whether they occur under the rules I prefer or not

Cameron's style is to trade blows, he takes too much punishment and his skin cuts too easy winning for him is probably losing in the long run!
His skin is on the outside, what is happening on the inside where you can't see it?
It's the only way he knows how to fight, he is not a good boxer, there is only one way for him to go and that is out of boxing all together!
That's my opinion based on what I have seen of his fights, mind you there is still SBW for him to tangle with, could be interesting! :corn:

Well at least it would provide SBW with a "real opponent" to judge him by!
Just saw bits of the fight on TV3, not a good look for boxing, Cameron must have been desperate to accept that fight on those conditions!
I feel really sad for him actually.
Aussies are such gentlemen to deal with in sport, not a hint of anything untoward in there, was there!!!!

Cameron's staid rigidity and lack of emotional variance in expression extends to his dance-less fighting style.
Its not a winning combination, either in the the ring or in verbal confrontations.
He needs to think of his already damaged brain since the Tua fight, and possibly a touch of the aspies beforehand to begin with.
He was a loner shepherd before

True in a personal sense Deano but ACC, Public medical, ETC and the taxpayers also have a stake in the outcome ... if he gets it wrong!
That's the shit that they base our ( :ride:) high ACC costs on! ... Unfortunately, nothing is our own choice these days.

I say fuck them. I bet he has cost less to the taxpayer than some rugby players. He possibly has medical insurance to cover it in any case.
I've racked up a fair share of ACC money due to kickboxing and motorcycle racing - it's my choice, anyone who doesn't like it can take a running jump for all I care.

Cameron and you both (and a few million others) he was too depleted from losing all that weight so fast!
It was his only chance (the big one) and they stitched him up and made him ineffective, sorta like cutting Samson's hair!
