No idea - I'm bloody sick with the current crap......although I was too young or not even born when the stuff you mentioned came out.

Download WINAMP if you haven't and listen to a radio station (they have a pretty decent selection) that plays non-stop great music.

You may already have a decent music collection - but listening to radio lets you hear random songs and makes you go - ah I remember that song......

I do like some recent bands, but so many just sound derivative.
The price of ageing I guess. It does make for interesting exchanges when my wife plays something like Terrorvision. But I just get her back with Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

I hear you there Lou, toomany of them have sound track that sounds like it was created by robots and the band is only lip-synching.

How many late model bands that are watched by the yoof of today actually play instruments - while they are on stage live??

Or as is the case, on TV..

A lot of the singing is just talking rhythmicly(sp) with a noise thing in the background so they can keep the rhythm.

Sheesh, and to think I use to think Neil Daimond was bad for that!!

Having had a rant about new(ish) bands, I'm told we're off to Foo Fighters in Nov. Just as well I like 'em.
And she got me to the 7 Worlds Collide Tour, couldn't stand the Finns before that. At least a little part of my mind is still open.

I remember seeing a young Oasis fan interviewed on TV a few years back.
"They're SO original" she gushed.
*SNORT* I said and a bogie flew out of my nose.............

Liam Gallagher was quoted the other day comparing himself to Elvis.
"There's Elvis and me. I couldn't say which of the two is the best."
