If the engine management system wasn't so temperamental ... the engine might get started more often.
Anyway ... with the use of a few short pieces of rope (at a pinch ... handcuffs) the engine management system can be overridden ... and you can experiment with the exhaust system then too ...

I think you can change the fuel mapping if you hit the right button.

That's a two stroke.
depends upon how many of the bores are being used.

Some models run happily ... upside down too ...

Yeah, nah... running it in is great, but once it has been used for a year or two, it's always flapping around and develops an annoying fart sound when in reverse sometimes.

I have found that sideways seems to work well...

these engines don't seem to like lack of oxygen though, they just cough and sputter.

The engine management system is air breathing .. the engine itself runs ok under water. Over lubricated though ...

Would explain the bizarre porting.

If you can fart and burp at the same time you have been bridge-ported.
Whenever I try I shit me pants.

You're all focusing on the petrol engine versions...what about the diesel engines, ie compression ignition, that sounds much more like the female control mechanism...no ignition required...
Not sure where they hide the turbocharger, intercooler and return line to the fuel tank...

the return line now enters a filter and shortly after, disposed of.

If there's no ignition ... it's not female ...

Oh I dunno, I know a few females that...if pushed far enough will spontaneously combust...much like a diesel, ie compression or self ignition engine...and I've got the scars to prove it :innocent:

Best engine? Dunno.. Bit like an old British engine more like.. with the most adoring attention they can look great, gleam with the care of a mans hands and perform like a thoroughbred. Inspiring great feelings of exhilaration & ecstasy they are adored by many men & a few women too. Pretty much all passionate about an old school design which is virtually impossible to stop leaking fluid, mechanically reliable but has control & temperature issues.
Due to the age of the design, the body work deteriorates faster than the motor & this is where you end up spending money. High maintenance. Constantly needs valeting, tuning and customising. The motor needs to be run often and can be tapped out briefly now & again but prefers a good varied pace on a warm afternoon after an engine additive & gentle warm up.
Every ride costs but it's worth it when you learn how to ride then properly.
Don't necessarily start every morning.

I am guessing Triton or TriBSA. You probably leak heritage all over the driveway.
