jeez they have no trouble tracking me down to give me a speed camera ticket just using the number plate on the bike ;)

but now they can't find the owner of this bike with a perfectly good plate and VIN on it?

People just get pissed off with them and dump them...... I found this one in Wellington Harbour two years ago.

The rider is probably back there now looking for it wondering where the hell it's gone

"city parking records" ?

Yeah - I noted that too , and wondered how & why they found that data

Registered to a Wellington address presumably.

Or does Wallytown Parking run an ANPR system as part of city traffic control ?

Given a couple of days to ripen, the cadaver dogs should not find it too much of a problem :(

But the bike does look surprisingly undamaged ???

No need to be sarcastic, officer.

It seems reasonable that it may imply the parking wardens current equipment lets them go around recording the plates of all the vehicle they walk past, as a way of remembering the time (though does that apply to bike parks?) they've been parked if seen again.

If so, it just has some, um, interesting implications.

I had a ZR750 for a short time.

Bought it because it reminded me of the old Z900 and I needed a cheap commuter at the time.

I'm not missing it in the lest.

Sad part about it mate is the rider had a wee fuck up and run off the road so thought he could get home and help to recover the bike before anyone found out and then not have to report it to po po as those that do report then risk the po po turn up ask alot of questions and then charge for something along the lines of dangerous driving.
May be wrong and please let me know if i am.

You goin to the longdrop??.

Nah, had plans to drop in on the way south on Friday - but the boss also had plans so I've got to work Saturday night.

I am not happy with the that:angry:
