Gotta agree, she killed her own daughter, no jail sentence could be harsher than that. And putting her in jail would only adversely affect her other daughter. As much as the gut reaction is to 'throw away the key' it wouldn't serve any benefit.

lock up and throw the key. She refuses to do a blood test to confirm she is clean and still has custody of the remaining child.

A social worker's report said Ericksen had refused to be drug tested so it was not known if she had stopped using methamphetamine.

Kaye said stopping using drugs was something that happened gradually and his client had been praised for her progress.

And how does that change anything?

ohhhh it doesnt, not one little bit. Im sure she is more than capable of making balanced decisions about looking after the remaining child:blink:

It should be a condition of her not going to jail that she is drug tested. Weekly.

What do you know about addiction and how to treat it?

Stays at home = chance other kid gets fucked up.

Goes to jail = gauranteed the other kid gets fucked up.

Nothing, not a thing. And yes I know you have first hand experience of this, you've posted such on here before. However considering that drugs were influential in the death and injuries that occurred, and that she has the responsibility of looking after her child, I feel that while she is still using she is incapable of making fit decisions.

Given the mothers predisposition to P, her record of poor decision making, and her failure to address her drug problem at the moment, you can predict with some certainty what behavior the mother is going to display. Fucked up or dead.....are they the same thing?

Yes I did. Fuck her. Driving jacked up on meth while dq'd, a car with bald tires, injuring other people going about their own business, and subsequently refusing a drug test. Not to mention she killed her daughter. The remaining daughter is better off without this sort of mother/role model. Yeah fuck her.

The only post that makes sense to me, sure she fucked up, so we all want our pound of flesh? The surviving child still has her mother and a chance of a decent life, dont anyone dare say she would have a better life in a foster home, N Z 's record for good foster care is very tainted to say the least. 12mths home D with the proper support person, then there is a good chance her surviving child will survive and not become a WINNS victim like so many other children have under their
expert book learnt care.

This person got a similar, and IMO an appropriate penalty for selling items they didn't actually have...

Bleeding heart PC brigade!!! I'm male and therefore don't have the defense of being a mother, don't have children so can't rely on that to give me a get out of jail free card. FFS - yes it may impact on the child BUT how is that a defense fo breaking the law. As for refusing drug tests I hope shes not on a benefit BUT I won't bet on it. Makes me fucking :puke:

I know man the fuck up and stop it. Only the weak minded are stupid enough to not have the will power. If you need P to get off the P then you are barely smarter than a cadaver.

Yep,an what wasn't said in this part of the story is how she was being supported by a member of the hells angles during her first appearance.

Given that,it certainly looks like our courts have simply taken the easy way out while claiming to be acting in the best interests of the child involved.

Junkie mum, hells angel involvement = pretty slim future for that kid yet the chance was there to do something but our system turned it's back in an effort to keep it's hands from being soiled.

Welcome to NZ 2012 .

You should see my stance on depression as well. (if you need pills to make you happy then you obviously haven't found the right bike yet)

Yeah .. I like that .. I'm not a fan of pills for anything (Oh, maybe Mandrax ... but that's impossible to get any more ...) Half of my family is depressed and on pills ... I just think 'fuck - get a life'.
