I've just got home from a great saturday night at the duntroon holiday camp that is the venue for the longdrop rally.

Great we rally with some events to get crowd partisipation (axe throwing and stone sawing).

good band i thought and i think local.

My question is why is this not a more popular rally???.

It clashes with too many other events. Burt Munroe the week end before, Chatto Creek 1000 the same weekend and the KB rally the weekend after.

Never herd of it maybe advertising on social media sites would promote it better....Maybe its too close to the Burt Munro and the Magpie..

Never herd of anyone last weekend speaking of the event while we were touring the South island..

yeah definately worth going to, great bunch run it and some good comps like sawing oamaru stone etc.
and their bar prices are some of the cheapest at rallies and mansell will be there

Google it and no sensible results, maybe a reason

Anyway, could consider it, have some good (read very blurry) memories of Duntroon from back when I were a lad.

Interesting that they are calling it the 9th annual one this year, I went to it in 1997, still got the badge, I write the dates on back when I get them if they don't have it included in the graphic.
That's 16 years ago, I wonder if it stopped for a while then started back up.

it did stop for quite some time then a few from the whitestone club decided to get it up and running again as a few rallies had dropped off, is a great wee rally

Sounds worth the effort. I'll try next year.
Piss, band, and a hot shower. Sounds better than most MotoGP campsites.
