I am bored and cant sleep so I though I might post some facts about my favourite food the incredable edable eggż....
Eggs are my favourite food you know thats probly because they are so nice and versatil, they are like bricks they are one of the best building materials for cooking foods, They help combine foods or thicken then they are use to help lightn up some thing, for example your baking up cookies you add an egg to help the mixutre bond properly the same thing with pancakes or crapes. The average egg contains 6.3 grams of protein while 600ml of most protien shakes contain 20 grams, when you this information you think man thats a lot of protien but then when you compare prices $4 a protien shake to $1 for a large free range egg ( which contains more than 6.3 grams of because they are free range eggs and they are larger in size) the Egg suddenly becomes a lot more attractive because you can have a basic 3 egg omlet for the same price as a protien drink. But wait there's more..... The protien in an egg is the best type of protien in fact its so good that when you are told the protien in fish for example is 75% that 75% is how good the protien is compared that of an eggs which is 97%, The balance of amino acids in the protien of that of an egg is perfect for tissue growth second only to mothers breast milk. No Im on a role I cant stop, egg is one of the only foods to produce vitiman D, infact eggs produce every vitamin except for vitamin C, and all this in a little parcel that weighs in at about 1.75oz and has only 75 calories, 59 of which are in the yolk.
So I think its time to invest in a chicken there are about 200 diffrent breeds to choose from, and after about 19 weeks your "chick" will become a chicken and start to produce 300-325 eggs a year and if you keep it inside and have the lights on so it thinks there are more than 12 hours of light in a day it will produce more eggs and because it takes a chicken 24-26 hours to produce one egg, if you have 3 chickens you can have a 3 egg omlet every day but watch out because every so often they will lay a double yolk egg, and the first egg they lay might have no yolk at all! Now you say im gonna get me a chicken well watch out do you like white or brown eggs, even though there is no diffrence between taste or nutrition. White shelled eggs are produced by hens with white feathers and ear lobes. Brown shelled eggs are produced by hens with red feathers and red ear lobes. There is no difference in taste or nutrition between white and brown eggs. Now as your hens grow older there eggs will become greater in size
blah cant be stuff writing any more...
