Yeah, cool title spelling I now, anyway

As the title suggests I need to sit my full to legally ride the RGV only I dont have a LAMS approved bike to do it with. Anyone know any good places around Auckland (N Shore or out west) that hire bikes out? Alternatively anyone got a LAMS bike I can borrow for the day? Id add it to my insurance and beers or cash your way.. Im a good rider, promise.

Tried a quick search but didnt find anything recent.

Cheers

edit: Just found an answer. Holeshot, $80 a day. Done. Mods please delete this thread.

Depending on how much time you got, you could apply to be allowed to do it on the 250 as it was learner legal until a short while ago. I am pretty sure they must allow it.

Text from LTSA:

What about people who are part way through the motorcycle Graduated Driver Licence Scheme, and their 250cc motorcycle is on the prohibited motorcycle list?

Where a learner or restricted licence holder was riding a particular motorcycle prior to 1 October 2012 and that motorcycle is added to the list of prohibited motorcycles, the person can apply for an exemption. If granted, the exemption will allow the learner/restricted licence holder to continue riding that motorcycle after 1 October 2012.

These exemptions will not be granted for an indefinite period. Instead, each exemption will be granted for a period of time that is sufficient to allow each person to progress from their learner or restricted licence through to their restricted or full licence.

Try a place that teaches people how to ride, surely they must hire out bikes, or at least be able to point you in the right direction.
