Project bike here for race or road. There is some work to do but there is lots of good metal here for the money.

I built this bike for BEARS racing in the early 90s. Greg Thomas ported the heads and built the exhausts. It has MegaCycle hi-comp pistons, and MegaCycle NCR07 grind hi performance cams, 41.5mm DelOrto carbs. Front end comes from a 1988 GSXR750 'J' so is still eligible for pre'89 racing. Forks are 43mm showa fully adjustable, brakes twin nissin four pot. Wheels are front (3.5) and back (4.5) from the Suzuki as well as an AstroLight 5.5 for the back. Rear shock is a top line Ohlins of the era - fully adjustable.

I built it for racing superstock 'Limited' class (max750) but in fact it was faster than many of the 900s in superstock 'unlimited' class ! I achieved 3rd place in the national racing series for that year.

It was last used for a sound of thunder about 2004.

It would make a great project for next sound of thunder (Feb) or for post classic racing (pre89 class) or just buy it for the bits....
