So it turns out that the throttle cables and speedo drive cable on the SR are poked.
Throttle cables have been pinched against the cylinder head at some point and the outers have baked and then split, and the outer on the speedo cable has cracked and the inner cable is exposed, which might explain why the speedo is on the piss too!

Motion Pro have all the OEM spec cables I need to fix 'er up. I've never bought any Motion Pro kit before. I know lots of people who have various MP tools though.
Can anyone who's used Motion Pro cables in the past comment on their overall quality and durability?

All I can say is after about two years they still appear to be in good condition snd I have had zero problems.

Great, I was assuming that they must be good quality replacements, given how Motion Pro seems to be a big name in aftermarket cables and a lot of people use them.
