Any of these in NZ? How much would a complete restorable (barnfInd) fetch?

I knew an old guy in West Auckland who had one....are they the V4? , I didn't take much notice as he had a Brough Superior Black Alpine, some model 18 Nortons and racing Douglas's......they were all sold off about 12 years ago.
If it was mine, I'd get it running if possible and ride as is......or to cash up...Ebay US.

i know of five in nz, most of them had sheared the bevel gears that drive the ignition, an expensive fix.

Have found one local, going to look at it on Sunday. He has over 150 old bike engines also, plus a harley pup (1927), Japs, BSAs, and some others, mostly 20s and 30s I think.

I expect that's the one that sold for $10 000 some years back, total restoration needed, so would not think it is worth any more then the original sale price.
Have seen plenty of rare restored bikes not fetching twice that amount, so fail to see how a bike that would need countless hours and another $10 000 thrown at it be worth more then this.

I left the matchless alone, picked up a couple of Harley Singles, a 1926B pretty much complete, and 3/4 of a 1927B. Should keep me busy for a while

Good choice I think, I remember Jackie paid a grand for the two EW's, we we're there when the transaction went down, the Matchless would be awesome, but it needs a truly dedicated individual to do it justice.
We have a Model CO Triumph that was complete (needs restoration, but in excellent health), and paid about 700 bucks for it. So really desirable bikes can still be had for a bargain, just need to keep the peepers open!
Good luck with the Harley's. :2thumbsup
