Hi,
my wife and I will be coming over the NZ at xmas... we live in HK altho she's from wellington..
we have a really limited selcetion of shops in HK - almost no ladies gear - and most definitely no ladies Jeans
where can we go as its great to try stuff on and buy it.
we are landing in Auckland then will drive to Welly before Xmas eve...
who's got a good range of stuff?
anywhere between Auckland and Wellington
we will also nip over to Nelson/ Picton top of south island
cheers!
PPS if any one has a bike to spare for a few days?

There is fundamentally nothing between Auckland and Wellington.
If you want ladies stuff try TSS in Lower Hutt or Scooterazzi in Wellington. They both have excellent staff who are happy to help with outfitting women and will actually be pleased to see you.

I'd possibly add Motorad to that list. Also, Scooterazzi still haven't replied to my email after 2 weeks even after I went and followed up in person...
If you're after jeans though, online has significantly better prices. Draggins cost upwards of $300 but I've heard only good things about these: http://www.rhinopants.co.nz/ (although the site now lists some stores which should stock them).... maybe stop off at one of them?

true online does have good prices - but the thing is you need to try stuff on, whilst its not a fashion show ( it is! ) you need to get gear you feel good in as well as adding a bit of protection against road rash....
thanks for the link - we never ride without gear on so our jeans are defo ready for a change!

Yeah that's the big issue with buying online, especially when you're not in the country long enough to return it if it's the wrong size.
The Rhino Jeans site mentions TSS Red Baron in Alicetown, Lower Hutt as somebody who stocks them - if it's jeans you're after, I'd say it's worth visiting lower hutt...

We hit lucky at Cycletreads in Auckland with jeans for the better half. They had a good selection & we found a pair on speckle with knee armour etc.
RST brand IIRC.
You can hire my TDM if you have time to get oop north for pick up & drop off. Unlikely I guess. I'm going to be too busy for much riding now the holidays are here.
Have a lovely trip.
GAH! just saw the date of your post Ignore me. I'm a blithering idiot. Merry Crimble.
