View Full Version : Merry Christmas

Another year of adventure riding spills & thrills is almost at its end. It was great to meet a few more like minded adventurers and share the trails and gravel in 2012.
There have been a number of broken KBr's this year; Vegman's nasty legg break, Gser's sholder, and more recently Rosie's busted leg to name a few. Its been a realitively quite year for me, only two trips to theartre this year ....arrh well next year will be better!!
Where ever you find yourself over Christmas New Year I hope theres a good stretch of gravel or a decent single track nearby, be safe, stay upright and have a merry Christmas!
Cheers

I was going to say you should get a GS, but I did end up in A&E with a 2nd degree burn...
I still think a GS is a good choice for you tho ;)

I'll be based in Hamilton over the break if anyone is getting together in the Waikato. New Years I'll be around around Colville and Fletchers Bay and probably a few days after that Dargaville/Poutu Point, all on the bike.

Good to know I'll have a long-distance drinking buddy
I'm about to try and retrofit a steel cap to my cast so I can spend a bit of quality time with my welder over Christmas. Anyone need an abstract-art paperweight?

Yes Merry Xmas all, been a safe year also *touchwood* My GSXR did decide to lob itself into the garden before I even left home the other weekend though  and I wasn't even on it. At least it killed a garden knome , they shouldn't be hanging around when your checking your oil from the wrong side when your loaded up touring style :brick:
On the subject of injuries... anyone whose still borderliune on the idea of a plb or spot/gps type device, just watch that new rescue chopper show from south island... eeekkk that hunter on west coast other night with compound fracture in dense bush...

Hi all,
Hope you all have a happy holiday celebrating / riding / relaxing.
A special warning to all you lower north island riders; I'm back in NZ in early Jan so should be back out on the trails again as soon as I retrieve my bike from storage. France has been great for the last 9 months - but really homesick now and just about bursting to get out exploring NZ again.
Anyway, see you all soon, Pikey, Sudman, Stormtrooper, Bart, MarkS, ManakauKTM, Steve, Wade and loads of others I've left out.
Joyeux Noel!

That looks like fun

Who is this Merry Xmas? She seems popular. I've known a few Merry's over the years, but they weren't that flash.
Oh well, have a good one.

Dunno who this Merry is, but she seems to be connected to my in-laws, & that's never a good thing.
Have a great Christmas everyone. Try to keep the fights with family to a minimum...;)

Have a great day everyone, safe travels!
Looking forward to some days out on the bike this week, packing the bike and over nighting who knows where. Then off to Waipuk, the Gentle Annie and Waiouru for the Tussock Ride.
Yeehaa.
