Luckily I wasn't in the program - most people didn't know who the plonker was that only managed 1/2 a lap.
Read all about it here (https://sites.google.com/site/k2racingnz/company-blog/try-seriesroundtwo):

Good to see you back out there and writing race reports again mate.

The lesson there is you know what's slightly dodgy on the bike already so fix them in your off time. Otherwise it's a damn expensive 1/2 a lap.

Bummer of a meeing Wharfy. Seems an odd place to land on your arse, especially after getting through splash. Maybe you got a dragging brake piston?

Yeah, the teather kill switch has worked OK since 2009 so I never gave it a thought. The only thing I can think of is that it was very warm on Sunday and the tape got a bit soft.

Thats racing I guess :)

It could be, I fitted new brake pads on Thursday and they were binding a bit in the first practice session, I bled them and flushed a bit of fluid through and they seemed OK for the rest of the practice and qualifying. Seemed OK when I was pushing the bike off the track as well ! I will give them a bit of a test round the neighbourhood at the weekend :)

The real interesting bit is that I managed to stretch 1/2 a lap into a two page race report !!! :)
I guess I like the sound of my own keyboard :)
