Hi Guys and girls,
I have just moved up to Auckland, and recently bought my first bike a hyosung gt250r 2011.
I have just started getting more confidence and am riding in traffic ( just need to perfect my hill start)
Was wondering if any one out there was keen and possible learning as well, and wanted to go for a ride maybe share some tips or some good rides? Havent ventured to far from home yet. Im in the mission bay / orakei area.
Im going to do some courses through a riding school in the new year my brother did them in chch and he rated it highly as a must do, anyhow
Im away from the 26th till 6th but after that pretty much keen any time its not raining. Figured i would post this while everyone is still asleep. Time to get up and do pressies i think. Who knows maybe i got a new visor!
Cheers.

Moving to Auckland AND getting a Hyosung!
Check out the events / rides section. There are often groups getting together for rides. Good chance to meet some like minded people.
Merry Xmas

A tuono and diavel, sounds like an explosive combination of lunacy. My hatred of cars and need of luggage capacity and comfort has led me to buy a voyager. ;)
You change bikes like a baby changes diapers :scooter:. Would you ever go back to the industry?

You aren't the first person to say that
And to answer your last question....heck no. Has been great to separate my passion with my job plus it is also nice to earn 2-3 times more :drinknsin

The next ride that I will be organising will be in early January, if anyone wants to come along. We had a terrific small group ride about 3 weeks ago. Keep an eye out for notices about a ride out at www.facebook.com/roadcraft .
All levels welcome.

For those new to Auckland, the best present you could buy for your self and your bike, is a one to one training session, using bike to bike radios. Once you can fully understand issues such as where the weight of your bike is, and the importance of the weight being in the right place, at the right time, or how to correctly steer your bike, how to correctly do a hill start, etc etc, then your confidence level will soar.....:woohoo:
When purchasing bike and gear, unfortunately the bit that gets left out of the budget, is the training.....
And $$$ spent then on repairing the bike, when it is dropped, scratched, smashed etc..
I can offer 3 hours at a reduced cost of $200, normally $250. If you can honestly say, at the end of the lesson, you haven't learnt anything from the lesson, then you will get a full refund...(new students only) :niceone:
This offer is limited, and expires on the 24th January 2013.

Goodonyer Trish! For about the cost of a helmet you can catch 'em at the top of the cliff and avoid the need for the helmet after the fact.
Of course, I don't need any training as I've been riding bikes for 42 years and haven't crashed one yet...

Well there was that embarrassing incident when I was showing off my new bike and called in to my mate's workshop, stopped, blipped the throttle to hear the echo of the V-twin, switched off and went to step off it.... there was this small matter of forgetting to put the stand down... :pinch:
