Not that it matters.Went up to the Timaru carnival today with a mate on his recently purchased Thunderbird, always thought they are a nice looking bike more so after spending some time with one on the road.Despite the rain we decided to come home the long way and to my delight my mate decides he wants to turn back the clock and ride my TLS,bad move on his part i thought at the time but not enough to decline the offer of swapping bikes.Being used to an old TL the Thunderbird was well comfy but still felt like a bike if you know what i mean, didnt go nuts on it ie not my bike combined with at times very heavy rain which at times had me cursing the fact that i hadnt put my clear visor on,had a chuckle mixed with a raised heartbeat when following the TL round a fast righthander in driving rain i see the backend step out big time, must have been something on the road surface as mate reckons he hadnt given it a handful, gave him a hell of a fright to he remarked later,Whatever it was didnt disturb the Triumph.Enjoyed the Thunderbird, tad quiet but no doubt a few $ would sort that.Seems like a nice way to eat up some miles to me,upon arriving home we had a brew out in the shed and the Mrs decides to sit on the Triumph to try out the seat, looked at me like a cat that had just found a warm place by the fire.To all that own one i am slightly envious.:niceone:
