Have bought a new bike and the plan was to keep the Speedy as a track day bike but if I am being realistic time is going to be a major issue this year and the bike is likely to spend the next twelve months sitting in the garage. It certainly deserves better than that.
The motor is standard with the exception of a Power Commander dynoed by Gary Pendleton in Tauranga. The rear shock is a three way adjustable Penske (ex Shaun Harris) with an Ohlins reservoir and the front is Racetech with Ohlins springs all set up and regularly serviced by Robert Taylor. The clip ons are gone and have been replaced by street bars (lots more fun) and the muffler is a Phoenix (LOUD) and the bars sport Pazzo adjustable levers.
The bike uses no oil between oil changes (regular) and the only work that has been required over the years has been a rewound stator and a new TPS. It also comes with a Laminar Lip screen, spare softer Ohlins spring (I'm a bit porky), original rear shock and other odd bits and pieces.
There is a camera mounted on the left snorkel and as I now have a Go Pro it goes with the bike.
It is warranted and regoed until April (I think, will need to check)
This has been a well loved and well used bike which has had some sensible coin spent on it and I believe the price is a fair one (given the mileage) so it is firm. If I can't get this much for it I will keep it (i.e. I don't have to sell it).
My insurance only covers riders 30 yrs and over so if you want a test ride bring cash.

Seems cheap?

Probably is but I would rather see it go to someone on here who could appreciate it than do the Tardme thing.

Fark!!

Yep, that's why the price is non-negotiable. If its going to go I'd rather it went quickly or I'll keep it and start a collection......

Lucky bank manager??......,
I might just go the guns and masks way instead?
Hell of a bike for the coin, GLWS. I'd be pretty tempted to shift mine to buy it, always liked the Speed 4

is this still available? trying to convince a friend that this is perfect for her!!

Yep. Still available. If you want to have a look at it P.M. me and we can work something out.
Just a point, not knowing your friend, the bike has been set up quite lively with the potential for tracks days I never quite found time to do. These, even in standard form are not a newbys bike.

she's had her full for a while now - And she has the sense to know to get it set up for her size/weight when she gets a new bike!

In which case she would probably thoroughly enjoy the bike. There is a spare softer Ohlins spring that goes with the bike as we went to a firmer spring when Robert Taylor last rebuilt the shock (last year), partially because I was going to do track days but mainly 'cause I'm a bit porkier than I should be.......... Since the bike currently resides in my factory, I would be happy to change the spring over if necessary.

Oh oh oh! Shit! I loved me old Speed Four and I recall yours was very tidy too.

Do you still have the clip-ons for it?

Hiya mate, assuming that it is still available a friend of mine is keen as but cant actually come to view/test (lives in the South Island), any chance that she could have a pre-purchase inspection done? Also has it been dropped in its history that you are aware of? Can't PM (haven't posted enough here) so if you could email me at reuben_pooley@hotmail.com and please include some contact details it would be much appreciated.

Cheers :2thumbsup
