At last years NZ Superbike Championships we introduced a new fun award dubbed The Oops award aimed at fishing out the behind the scenes things that would make one says Oops; or worse.
W White Wholesalers came on board with an RK Chain Voucher for each round of the five round series and the 'gossip' started to find its way to the Commentators. It turned out to be a popular yet sometimes embarrassing event for those who were put forward so once again W White are putting up an RK voucher at each round of the Nationals.
We're looking for all sorts of happenings both on and off the track and about anyone at the track from competitors to pitcrew etc.

Last weekend young Scout Fletcher set the fastest lap in the NZ 125 Grand Prix and was leading the race till she came off in turn one with a lap or so to go. She would've won but about the only rule we have is you must be at prize giving and she was too sore too.
Another nominee was Seth Devereux for binning it again in turn one, but on the wind down lap. He won an RK Chain voucher for his 'effort'.

It's on again at Levels this weekend and the following rounds so if you hear someone's had an Oops please let the Commentators know about it and if you're brave enough tell the person you nominated so they can be at prize giving.

Last year The Cole's travel and sleep in a bus running of course Nick Cole in superbikes on the Red Devil Racing Kawasaki ZX10. Come bedtime Mum Rosanna settle down in the front of the bus for a kip and Dad Graeme and Mechanic Les moved into the worskhop at he back for some sleep. Rosanna could hear the tinkle of the Rum bottle against glassware so she got up, grabbed a fire extinguisher and opened the door to the back and gave the boys a squirt to settle them down.
Oops, it was powder Extinguisher.....

Doh! They'll be on the list for this weekend, hope you have a better weekend Choppa

I wonder what that cost, I filled it with Deisel on the way home and it was $222 bucks, 98's a bit pricier

How many chains do i get for going all the way to the nats a few years back, spending all the money possible on my F3 bike and campaign, around 25k, to have my ZXR444 that had been professionally built, blow up on the out lap of practice on round 1, then rebuild it with a borrowed crank and have it blow up in practice at round 2? thus meaning I gave up......

Pete ' the pirate' Goodwin and Darren Prentis won the Oops award at Levels having a spocket nut come off while leading on the last lap of a points race

Aaron Hassan won at Teretonga for a list of things, starting with wondering why his tyre warmers didn't fit, he'd put the fron ton the rear and vice versa then he had bad luck off the start in most of the races finally losing chain...

he had a smile on his face when he got presented with it but was quick to remind us he won one last year and it's not an award people hope to win.

I missed the first round, was gonna be in Supers for the first time, but someone left me hanging till it was too late to fix the front end, Opps...
I missed the second round even though my suspenders were now fixed, play fighting with my mutt, he headbutted my knee and it turned into a football. Opps.

Looked at the forecast for Teretonga, and went fuck that why bother now...... bloody met service can't even get it right when they say it's gonna be shit in Invers......... Opps

Now you gonna tell me I actually have to be there to qualify,........ bloody Opps again! sigh....
