Hi All

Looking for a Word and Excel (or similar) app for Samsung phone and tablets. I guess that Microsoft dont do a version specificially for android (wish they did), so just wondering if anyone has had experience or can recommend an app for these devices.

Cheers in advance!!

I've got Documents To Go, it's paid software.

Don't use it much, only really to edit, as the built in viewer (Polaris I think) does a passable job.

Download Google Drive and also Google Documents. There are Android versions for both in the Play Store. Not a fully-featured word processor but it's pretty darned good for most basic tasks.

Download the PC version of Google Drive and install Chrome as your browser, if you haven't already done so. They provide an effective way of living in the Cloud.

And they're free.

I'm not a tablet user myself but I hear quickoffice pro is one of the best substitutes out there at the moment:

Or the bells and whistles version:

Not free, but you get more functionality than any of the free options.

I found Kingsoft Office to be pretty good, and it's free on the play store.

What do you want to use them for? If it's just to view files, I second google drive (which includes google docs). That'll open pretty much anything. If you want to edit and create, I still reckon drive is the way to go.

I've tried a couple of full office apps and I don't see that much advantage to them to be honest.
