Hi there, thought I should post here as a new member. I'm from Hawera, currently on my second sv650, this one an 03 thats a bit modified with the gsxr1000 front end and an olhins in the back. Been riding for about the last three years but only just got my full about 6 months ago. Looking forward to getting out on some longer rides and all set for the chateau to plateau in a couple of weeks. Still trying to find some nice twisty roads for a quick ride in south taranaki.(if I can I'll go for a ride in my lunch breaks when I get the chance)
Anyways, always keen to hear about any group rides or training days going on, and enjoying the forum so far.

Plenty of twisty's around Hawera!
Try Fraser rd thru to Waitara without going on the main road.

Went for a nice ride on a training day from waitara through to icon sports, would that be the same road? Think they called it the tarata saddle. If so definitely need to do that ride again i'm only just round the corner from fraser road too

Welcome! I ride an older ZZR1100 which has been modified by a previous owner with a rear Ohlins strut. I have been well pleased with that since I took the time to figure out how to set it up correctly. See you around :)

Welcome. Nice bike. I've had both curvy and pointy SVs, and currently ride a DL650 so like the engine.
