Get your shit together and organise some then. Shiriffs road looked nice when we had a lean over the fence a year or so ago.

Never going to happen there again (last time I discussed it; it went something like "Hell frozen over then you'd be still f##ken lucky") :brick::brick:

Yeah, for a once proud stronghold of buckets, its all gone pear shaped up here when it comes to tracks. I'm considering doing a piece in the local paper to rouse a bit of sympathy, and maybe put a little pressure on the main instigators of our pain. Things need to change in Palmy.

That's the bill from Taumaranui but I think we still have to settle some other outstanding debts, whats the score overall?

Excellent, we did say no excrement but I took that to be literal rather than figurative.
I've also noticed that some things (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_Luwak) that fall within 'health and safety" rules may not actually preclude excrement.

I'm quite sure you aren't going to get coffee that costs more by the pound than gold, I do however su spect that you would make me drink a fish that tastes like somebody else ate it first. Is it too late to sell all the buckets, move towns and change my name?

The ex-Bayden bike has a running engine now - but not good enough for racing unless there is a very big can of Start Ya Bastard attached.
Which may be a tad outside the rules. Because of that I'm a little less organised than usual...

Great event for sure.
Thanks Skunk, Leigh, Bernie and Hells and everyone else that helped out. Can't get much better than today. 3 wins and some quick lap times. Just need to sort the rear shock so I can do more than 10 laps on a tyre.
Great to see the AK crewe again top effort making it down.
Till next time.

Thanks for the invite Kyle. Although I didn't get to ride your bike today, Hel's and F5 Dave came to the rescue and allowed me to rape, I mean ride thier trusty steeds.
Unfortunately we couldn't get Skunk's green machine to go.
Dave's almighty 50cc took some getting used to. It handled extremely well and the front brakes were awesome. After the scrub in session Dave gave me some words of wisdom on how to actually ride the bloody thing ! It's been a very long time since I rode a 2 stroke.
Very peaky and a narrow power band had me either under or overevving it at first, with the same result......
It took some laps to get the hang of it but towards the end of the 20 lap A Grade race I think I was humming along on it pretty well - just ask Kyle who was marshalling at T3 - he could see me grinning like a chesire cat. The rear tyre was kicking out under gas on the right hander just after pit lane entrance. I think I managed to maintain some respect...only getting lapped by Richban and another rider with the multi coloured leathers.
I then went out straight after that in B Grade for a 10 lapper on Hel's FXR. Much more broader power but much sloppier handling - not too disimilar to my SV LOL. It made for some fun racing with the rear end bucking about and pushing the tyre to its limits. The throttle starting playing up towards the end of the race which meant I was chopping it hard on exit of the corners - nearly lowsiding on entry to the last left hander and then highsiding it on the exit - fucking hilarious.
Thanks heaps to Skunk, Hel's and Dave for an awesome afternoon. It was bloody good practice and fitness training for Nationals Rounds 4 and 5 next month.
So many people asked when I was getting a bucket of my own instead of bludging off the many good c*nts that are more than willing to slut out thier steeds - I would love to take it up but more often than not the events clash with my son Rex's MX and I love to watch him and Jacob on their bike and quad - I can't be too selfish.
Thanks heaps also to 'Uncle Jarrod' and 'Aunty Candece', who I managed to palm the boys off onto while I had a ball !

Simply awesome guys, the GPR team are all stoked with two days of well sorted racing. Well done to all who gave up their time to get this done, a real credit to all.
Congrats to Richban on three well deserved wins, keeps the whole competition on its toes! Watch out for Crazyman too, he's surging up the ranks.
Looking forward to the next round now, videos will start coming on over the next day or three, so keep you all posted. :headbang:

Yes it was a great weekend, thanks to Skunk, Leigh, Bernie & Hels & whoever else was making up the small crew to make it possible.
My borrowed ign was starting to fail as well so the 100 was only going sporadically, but it gave a bit of a fright in the first race sat (esp to Rich who decided to use it as a braking marker, I guess he will post the vid, I was riding very erratically until I got my head around the different bike).
But again the 50 did the buss. Deano, thinking about it perhaps I should have thrown a couple of extra pounds in the rear tyre for you you complete fat barstd:lol:.

My mate Pete called me this morning to tell me I'm a bastard. I gave him a ride on the 50 (which is a terrible introduction as its a bitch to ride), but now he's on the hunt for one if it doesn't get him a divorce.

Hey I'm 83kg of lean meaness !! I'm surprised I managed to fit my 6ft frame on the thing to be honest - it was a workout for sure but not too uncomfortable. My arse hurts a bit today though - I'm used to a plush SV seat, not a plank of wood with a strip of 15mm foam.
It's just as well you didn't pump any more air into the rear tyre cause I reckon I would have lost the back end on that bump on the second to last right hander - it was kicking out nearly every time when I got on the gas.
Thanks again for the 2 stroke buzz! The A Grade race on it was a shitload of fun.
F5 Dave
25th February 2013, 18:10
Well you're still heavier than me fatso:nya:. Glad you had fun. There is zip padding on the 50, but I don't seem to notice. I've lowered the pegs quite a lot, I used to have sore thighs & ankles for a few days after a race, but its so narrow you can get away with lower pegs for comfort. (compared with the midgets the NF4 was designed for)

Thanks to Skunk, Hells and the rest of the crew for putting on a great weekend.
Big thanks to Bert and Extra special HUGE THANKS to Mike Chandler for completely saving my weekend - my bike pulled two head studs (which had already been helicoiled) in the first practice on Saturday , Mike very quickly offered to go home and get some tools to fit the oversize studs that Bert the Legend found in his box of spares.
If that was not cool enough when two more helicoiled studs pulled, Mike MADE four oversize studs and set me up with a Tap so I could fit them.
MIKE YOU ARE A LEGEND , thank you for saving my weekend - Six hours driving for six laps would have been a real shit
Welly Bucket Crew are the best , thank you.

All this good fun can only happen when good people go out of there way, so thank you to all involved, big thanks to Henk for taking all my gear and Helen and Malcolm for letting us stay, the big trip was worth every penny and the racing as always was intense, the track is great fun but difficult to get every corner right very technical, love it!!

No probs Glen, It was good to get such good feed back ..Suday morning changed the gearing from a 13t to 14t and it was great from the bottom to the top but bad top to bottom of the track so I changed back to 13, I think 2t of the back could have been better, I think I need to ride the bike harder and get more aggresive but Im having a great time doing what Im doing so not all bad!!

huh! that's not how - or even where I remember it happening. Funny thing about human recollection, it is very faulty. Think I had added a sequence where I had almost hit Regan a couple of times.
I was riding terribly in that first race, but fortunately it doesn't show up so bad, in fact I wouldn't mind a soft copy some time.

Yeah until I saw it I was thinking it was all happened different. Well no I know where to look for marks on the track. In the first video I posted ( filmed later in the day ) you can see the marks left by the crash. Not sure of the track damage but the bike was undamaged. I will be making an effort to put even more protection on the bike.
