I saw this several times yesterday.
Its the 55 km/h and then 40 through a corner then 45-45-47-42, slight weave to the left, 41 back to the centre.....42 43 44 onto the center line..... 44, 45 - over the center line!!! 44, 42 back onto the left a bit.....nope wait corner....brake...... 39......... 40, 42. 44, 48, straight yay! 50, 52, 55, corner, brake 37........ after about 5 mins of this are you still patient? Mine is pretty thin.
They just don't know how to drive. Don't know when to brake. When to start turning. When to use the throttle. How to indicate. How to look. How to change lanes. What if they cross that center line and a truck is hugging it to get past a parked car? (Well, they would get fucked up, obviously...)
Speed is not always the issue. It can be an issue, but that above is the sort of shit that causes the accidents. So how and why the fuck is a moron like this on the road? Because the license system does not work. If I was a cop I'd be focusing on this. The people speeding are the ones having to go 115 km/h past a tugger like this because there's a passing lane and they finally decide they can go 110 and then the passing lane ends, they are back to fucking about between 70 and 90 k's all over the place. And then if you can't pass because its too dangerous you have to wait for ages.

This person was probably on a learners licence and had been for the last 15 years, but hey according to some on KB that is their right.

Possibly a foriegn tourist? Old person? Drunk?
And cops do 'focus' on this when they see it.
or if they get *555 about it.

My granddaughter is on a restricted licence, and has been for many years.
As she commented, it meets all her needs. She doesn't need to drive 24 hours a day, doesn't need a higher drink drive limit or a car full of passengers so she felt no need to upgrade.
Thats how I feel. I don't need to drive an articulated truck, front end loader, bulldozer or bus, so similarly, I think my licence meets my needs.
I can understand younger people not wanting to throw hundreds of dollars at a test when they are set up to fail, and its for a class of licence they don't want.

Or more realistically just another full licenced NZ driver. I can clearly see now why forcing people through licences is a good thing it helped this persons driving sooo much
On that note there's a green cab taxi driver here in Wellington who not only has a full but has the special passenger licence too. We [read: NZ] gave her these licences, they are not foreign (tho she is) and yet on the motorway she accelerates hard to 100, brakes hard to 80, accelerates hard to 100 brakes hard to 80 & this carries on till back on 50km/h areas again where she proceeds to drive 40km/h... yep our licence system works alright, & just think we can have more people like these on our roads with forced licence progression. Another wonderful idea from the Govt :tugger:

what's the point? she wasn't the most dangerous I've had the displeasure of meeting, probably just the most annoying & realistically speaking with the quality of taxi drivers out there, there should really be no taxi company in operation.

impeding the flow of traffic, could be argued dangerous driving, if she was a teen & in a Mazda familia 323 you'd also try the excessive acceleration. I'm sure there's one about consideration or annoyances too (but I'd have to go read to find out for sure & I don't feel like doing that)

The Boy Racer Act is the title, it contains sections within the Act. The discussion was about one of the sections within the Act.

It's a name given to an ammendment of the Land transport Act 1998 or so, but what relevance is it.

Heck that will be a great ride for you too girl, and at your own pace in your own time and head space.
You will learn so much on that ride...I daresay you will be itching for another bike upon your return.
Ginny will be capable, but you may have out grown her by then.
And then you can Bragg that you have done it..:niceone:
