I very much doubt it. My old ZX12 rad was way bigger than the 10 one. I can't see a 14 one being smaller....

Quality, well applied epoxies are actually quite good in a lot of cases. Not heating shit up has advantages.
Kneed-it is the cheapo version, there is plenty more out there but I used some in a pinch on a sidecar years ago and a month or two ago I saw the same sidecar, with different owners in a different town; kneed-it still intact!

fixing a rad with epoxy is somthing ive never done. once the surface is preparred, which i pressume woud have to be well cleaned etc... is it a case of covering the affected area with the resin?

Pretty much. Kneed-it is OK, Devcon or other flash ones are better.
Just use common sense on placement, overlap etc. Keying the surface well is really important.
