I took a detour via Wellsford on the way to the beach yesterday and about 1km south of Warkworth realised my tail bag had decided to abandon ship. I Left Mount Eden around 11.30 in the morning and went via the north western, Old North/Peak roads then up SH16 to Wellsford before heading south on SH1.
I retraced my steps but didn't have any luck finding it. There were quite a few bikes out so thought I would come to KB to see if anyone else may have come across it?
I did well over 1000km's with the bag during the xmas/new year break and it never showed any signs of coming loose. It was a lot lighter yesterday so my guess is the wind on the north western might have managed to whip it off. Just thankful the straps didn't decide to get tangled in the rear wheel.
