Why not go hog wild and trade it in on a GN250? Only question might be...can you handle the power :wings:

Do that! It will almost feel as if you GN gained a second engine! Hahaha.

Don't get a 4 cylinder sports bike. I did - spent more time fixing it than I have riding it;

Yup those four cylinder engines are terribly unreliable.

Don't get a crappy old FZR would be the way to go.

I think what they are trying to tell you, is that unless you are doing it for the mechanical experience you will gain, or some other odd reason, it's really not worth it. Once you get a bigger bike you'll understand more, but for now, just trust us.
Even a GN250 is going to be a good upgrade, and just wait until you get something bigger again.

I think we've all done the crappy old bike thing at some time though.

You are, presumably, taking the piss, or, as we like to say on the internets "trolling".
However you might be a complete noob, so my advice is: Sell the bike you have and buy the one you want. Unless you want a project (in which case your GN125/FXR150 engine swap is not ambitious enough: call me when you have a DR650 engine, a roll of duct tape, some zip ties and a positive mental attitude). If you do want a project be aware that: It will take five times as long, and be ten times as hard as you think it will. It will cost a minimum of three times as much as you think it will. You will never see the money back, it is gone.
So if thats what you want, get about it. Post pics.
