So ill add more to this tomorrow after ive ridden in and out of work in it.
Had my Qmoto gear arrive today
Want to first say a big thanks to Paula at Qmoto as she has been really helpful and was very good with both pricing and letting me do a layby option over a few pays.
Good gear espically for new riders is in my mind very important and while i have risked around 500-600kms with some older gear (which I class as light weight summer gear) (Was using a brand new Shoei XR1100 as well however) at the end of the day its your skin and potentially life at risk.
My personal preference is leather due to various reasons which I won't go into at this stage.
Due to the cost good gear is to buy the layby option is great, as you dont need to spend a big chunk in one hit.
I have tried on Revit gear and while it is also good compared to the quality and price of the Qmoto stuff it won in my mind (not knocking the revit gear as it is amazing and each to there own)
Tried the gear on when it arrived and the fitment was perfect gear is all off the rack sizing
I am 5"11-6" and 70-72kg
The armour is in all the right places (will need to buy a back protector at some stage)
Will add more to this later
Anyone in wellington wanting to have a look or a test fit etc let me know happy to help :) also any questions feel free to post and I will answer best as I can.
Rode home last night and back in this morning
There is a big difference riding in full gear compared to what I had been doing
Armour is all in the right places and I was nice and warm the whole ride I had taken out the thermal liner as I think i would have gotten to hot
Gloves have given me so much better clutch, brake and throttle control/feel
Pants have push my legs into better position as I cant move then as much atm haha

It is great gear for Noobs and racers alike mate. You will be happy to know they crash well too :niceone:
Paula and Steve are fantastic to deal with also...100% recommend the gear myself and the service also.

Any updates on this one?
I would be interested in seeing some pics etc. I have been thinking about upgrading my 15 year old leathers at some stage.
Of course I made the mistake of trying on some Dianese gear the other week and am currently trying to work out how I could possibly spare the cash for that!

Dianese are good....almost as good as Qmoto. I have yet to see a set of leathers that impress me more than Qmoto gear...seriously.

That is good to hear. I have old no name, made in Pakistan leathers with a decidedly 80's look to them and have considered getting something newer a few times. There are a couple of spots the leather is worn a bit thin from rubbing on my back protector. The 1Tonne gear looks pretty good too for a reasonable price. I would really want to try some on and have a good look at it before buying though.
I keep telling myself I have better things to spend money on for now though.

they as with all brands don't seem to understand were not all built like rossie:rolleyes: and are a bit rounder:bleh:.
The brand that brings out a bigger size I think would do well.

I AM kind of built like Rossi.
I find most clothes, leathers included, are too big in the waist. If I get a size that fits my shoulders and long arms the waist is too baggy.
I am thinking of getting a two piece for everyday riding and on most size charts I need a size smaller for the pants, Hence tha ability to try stuff on helps.
I do agree it is better than being too tight through the middle though.

Well thought I should post an update
Done around 11000kms in this stuff daily riding all weather,
Jacket is good for heavy rain from town to about paramata before the syntheic strecth material in the arms starts to let water in and ive been bone dry in all my short commuting lately in all weather.
I leave the thermal liner in all the time and just open the vents in the arms to cool off if it gets hot, still have to chuck a thermal on if its really cold but to be expected.
Pants i've had slight zip issues but Paula at Qmoto has been really good to deal with and we think it was due to the factory moving they didn't check the zips as well as they should have but ive had offers of repairs or a replacement.
Just waiting on replacements atm and tbh its not a big deal to me,
I did find a place that sells Dainese at a good rate if you want to go that route

Havent had an accident in them so cant comment on falling off, comfort has been good all round umm not really sure what else to say haha

So its been nearly two years with a good 30000km riding in all conditions
Had no issues apart from zips on the bottom of the pants which was replaced by warranty (pretty sure it was a bad batch)
Been riding in Australia for the last 10000km and they breath well in the heat (as long as you are moving :p)
Got some small wear which has grayed the leather but some polish will take it out no issue.
About to replace the jacket main zip with something more heavy duty
I have changed weight from 78kg to 63kg and am about 70kg atm and apart from being a little loose when I have no thermal liner in I am still pretty happy with the fitment
Would definitely buy again, and am happy to push people towards it.
Service has been top notch as well
