Potentially at this stage, but that could change things on a grand scale for them if researchers are correct.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out 'cos it's expensive to process and messy for the environment. However, it's much better than fracking.

Come and listen to a story about a man named Dave
A poor journalist, but fairly widely read,
Then one day he was sufing' at the net,
And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude.

Oil that is
Black gold
Cooper Pedy tea.

Well the first thing you know ol Dave's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Dave move away from there"
Said "Up in Brizzy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Wakerly.

Brizzy, that is.
Swimmin' pools.
Magazine stars.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?

No thanks, Australia is as close to a police state as any in the commonwealth. Except England of course. And Canada. And all of Africa. And Fiji.

But still no thanks.

Santos has done well out of Moomba.
I got shares at $4.50 in 98
They peaked at $22 before the downturn, and settled at 12-15.

Let the juice flow I say...............

Russia was banking on their oil exports to support the new regime.
America is potentially changing tack.
China could have enough resreves to be self-sufficient, but will not go down that path.

Interesting times...

I think NZ has much to gain from such a move, but then again I wasn't born here and can understand why such a move would be opposed.

Edit: Of course the bike rego will double (again) overnight and some cunt muscle will be telling me I'm not allowed to own semi auto's anymore, so fuck it, let's stay at it alone lol

Let's just think about the possibilty of getting a good deal on oil/petrol at the moment. The fracking method of extraction is too controversial and destructive anyway.

Oh the oil wasn't what prompted me to suggest the idea, I've thought that NZ and Aus should team up for a while now.

Just my own view, I never said it'd be easy or overnight, but it could happen. Perhaps both leave the commonwealth and start over as one. Ditch the treaty too while we're at it.

Absolutely. In fact we now no longer need the Harbour Bridge. As a special consultant to the NSW Govt I'm permitted to send you the tender documents for its relocation.
Forward your bank account details and we'll sort it right out.

They are expecting 200mm in Brizzy over the weekend.

Unfortunately, the economics of shale oil are a bit like being hungry for a Burger King Whopper....located at the top of Mt Cook.

It requires expensive gear, burning a lot of existing stored energy you've already got, and a heap of water...to get one Whopper that effectively costs a heap of money.

The old adage of "It's takes money to make money" is particularly true for shale oil.

It takes a lot of money, energy, and water to make some shale oil.

Ive had to cut holes in my gazebo to let out the ponding water.

Of course I had to put up the gazebo due to the 4 week heat wave....

A bunch of the lads from back home arrived yesterday for a 50th tonight, They get off the plane and its "fuck, whats this shit weather?"

Still, A trip down the Colmslie Hotel for a glass of James Squires Fifty Lashes and all was right in the world once again.

You want to complain.

I picked up a 2013 V-rod test bike on Thursday at 10.00 and the first solid rain in 6 months arrived at my place at 11.00.

With us till Monday at least they say.

What I did notice from riding it around in the rain is if it's 28c it doesn't matter if you are wet when riding. Draggin's legs feel same wet or dry. No coldness.

.

As much as you have my sympathy (harharhar), I wasn't complaining.

As it stands I went from owning my dream bike outright, driving a $40k wagon, Living in the home I own, wad of cash in the bank and receiving a good wage to losing my bike, being heavily in debt, selling my assets, cramming my family into a tiny apartment and being unemployed.

LMFAO.

And I'm still not complaining.

My wife on the other hand........
